Shady Practices at Home Minders
Oh wow, where do I start with this company.
So if you're ever interested in getting completely strung along and stressed out, then these are the people who can help you with that.
I found a flat I liked, went through a ridiculous/rigorous approval process to which I was "Approved" for the flat, I was then supplied a contract which I signed and then had payment demanded from me which I sent over in the excess amount of 11,000 pounds.
I was given a move in date, everything looked great.
I gave notice to my current landlord, ordered new furniture to the flat, chased sky for internet and other utilities, organized movers, took time off of work, was ready to go.
Then, suddenly out of nowhere they demand new documents, even though I have already been approved and had already signed the lease and paid for the flat. No problem, I gave them more documents they asked for. Then, a day later they ask for MORE documents, and MORE documents (the whole time I've already been approved, paid and signed the contract and have been given my move in date which was creeping closer every day) eventually they asked for bank balances in all my accounts to where I put my foot down, this was quickly (within minutes, obviously entirely planned) met with a text message stating the landlord didn't like my references and that I was no longer eligible for the flat. So, now I am homeless, and will have take the next month off work to find a new place, try to refund my furniture, cancel the internet, cancel the house insurance, etc. It's been a complete nightmare and I would warn anyone that is entering into any sort of business relationship with this company to be VERY VERY weary. I felt something from the beginning, but unfortunately like most of us now a days, we don't trust our gut.
I am now in the midst of filing a large civil claim against their company, and everyone else involved. Which, from what my lawyer has told me will be a slam dunk case.
I hope this review helps someone.
