Easy to order via website. Bar stools arrived as described. FYI, stools come unassembled. Not difficult to put together, but takes some time.

I was skeptical to order furniture…

I was skeptical to order furniture online but my experience with this company was great. I received immediate information about my order all through the entire process throughout the shipping and arrival process. My chairs arrived well packed and look beautiful.

Save your energy just don’t shop here

So far, this has been the most horrific experience I have ever had in ordering furniture. The ordering was easy of course they took my money right away, of course. The furniture showed up damaged. Three of the four pieces had significant damage. Pictures were taken notes were written I was on the phone with customer service. Never heard back then I heard back a week later. They need more pictures. More explanation more this more that. Gave them that told them they had till end of day Friday. Called at 5:11 Friday need more pictures more information. Told them absolutely no way. I am not going to my credit card. I’m done. They delivered damaged furniture after saying it goes through two QC checks and will not take responsibility. It’s not my problem it’s theirs.

Effortless and enjoyable

Home Gallery Stores made the entire process, from purchasing the product to receiving it, effortless. The company was also very communicative with my delivery date and process. I would highly recommend.

BEWARE!!!

BEWARE! This company is a SCAM and they have their SCAM down. I ordered furniture that was to be delivered within 3 weeks. 6 days after ordering they emailed that my furniture had "shipped". This is where the SCAM begins. AT SHIPPING, your are charged for the furniture and it does not matter how long it takes to deliver your furniture....they've got you!!! I was supposed to receive my furniture within 3 weeks. However, once you order online the tiny print of their contract states that you are obligated to pay a hefty restocking fee if you cancel. So, expect they will send you an email within days saying it is "SHIPPED" so they can lock in your payment! After 3 weeks passed I called for a delivery update...Home Gallery literally had no idea where my furniture was or when it would be delivered despite being "shipped". After several conversations, it was clear to me that it hadn't shipped when they said it did...it was lie to ensure they can lock my money in so I can't cancel without losing a lot of money. So you must wait no matter how unreasonable it is. After several weeks delay you then get to deal with their contracted delivery company that will give you 1 day for delivery because they are "consolidating" their deliveries into 1 trip. If this date does not work for you, you will wait several days before they will call you back with another 1 day option that will be another week and so on. In my case, my already delayed delivery was delayed another 2 weeks! To add insult to injury, the furniture was delivered DAMAGED (delivery company took photos and agreed it was damaged). So, I refused the shipment and told them to take it back and refund my money. I was done with all the delays, unscrupulous business practices, damage and mediocre quality of a $3000 piece of furniture. Home Gallery offered me $75 to take the damaged furniture or wait while they "figured out how to repair the furniture". No timeline for the repair was given. I was expected to wait for Home Gallery to let me know. Also, it is expected that I must be ok with a "repaired" damaged piece of furniture. In the end, I was not able to get out of an unreasonable $700+ restocking fee because of their "small print contract" at ordering. So, please learn from my mistake. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!

Poor customer service

Delivery drivers had no idea how to put the couch together and gouged my floor. Customer service completely ignored me.

We love the product, however...

We love the product. The "white glove service" was needed as we could never have assembled the entertainment console (Parker House Americana Modern-Denim 92" TV Console) ourselves. However, the assembly did not go smoothly. Unfamiliarity and inexperience in assembling this particular unit were an issue. There were multiple re-starts and adjustments in putting the unit together, especially getting the lighting to work properly did not go well and delayed the process. The guys were being rushed to get to their next delivery which was not helping the unpleasant situation. The delivery reps/assemblers were diligent but more experience in assembly was needed. It should not have been a struggle. "White glove service"? There was a mess to clean up afterward. The boxes were unpacked in the house. Styrofoam pills were everywhere. All over and in the unit, the floor, other furniture, etc. Still finding them. I expected a cleanup of at least the immediate area.
In summary, order process was good. Communications regarding schedule were good. Delivery was later than scheduled apparently due to not enough time between appointments. Although I commend the efforts by the delivery/assembly guys, they were unfamiliar with assembly of this unit and were being rushed, via multiple phone calls, to complete our job. I would be a happy to discuss this with you Florence B should you want any additional information.

Catastrophic Failure

I purchased a dining room set this summer. Delivery took quite some time (over a month), but it did eventually arrive. When the table arrived, we noticed some minor defects in the table extension (nothing huge, but definitely noticeable and most likely due to shipping). We contacted customer service and were told they would not provide a replacement but would offer $40 for a “licensed repairman” to come fix it (if we could provide proof that we hired someone). That wasn’t even going to cover a service fee from a repairman, but the scratch was minor enough, so we dropped the issue.

Cut to a few months later and we are finally having guests over to use the full set. We don’t eat in our dining room except on big occasions, so we hadn’t made use of all the chairs yet. Low and behold, one of our guests (an average sized woman <200 lbs) sits down on one of the chairs and nearly stumbles before she quickly stands up. We watch as the chair completely falls to pieces before our eyes, in a nearly comical manner, without anyone even putting further weight on it. I had never seen a piece of furniture fail so spectacularly – just shattered at a touch. The other chairs seemed fine, so we figure it must be a fluke (a crazy error in manufacturing or damage during shipping). I should also add that the item advertised a one-year manufacturer’s warranty for defects. Since this clearly fell under that case, I reached out to customer service again.

It took Home Gallery Stores over a month to correspond with the manufacturer. When they finally came back to me, they said that the manufacturer agreed that the chair was defective and would provide a replacement. However, Home Gallery Stores would expect me to pay $250 plus tax just to ship the item to my home. Mind you, at the same time, they were offering free shipping on the same chair if I bought it brand new from their store. Since the shipping amount exceeded the value of the chair, I instead suggested a refund for the value I had paid for the single chair (~$100) so I could purchase a replacement. They tried to insist that the manufacturer’s replacement was the only resolution. I’m in the process of a dispute with my credit card company instead. I find it appalling that a retailer would take zero responsibility for selling a defective product. I don’t think this would ever be the case in a brick and mortar store.

I’d encourage consumers to take their business elsewhere. Despite what the site advertises, it does not sell high quality furniture, and they clearly do not guarantee anything they sell.

Get a Great Deal at Home Gallery!

We appreciated the selection available and the knowledge of Michael when showing us the various recliners available. We appreciated Michael’s willingness to work with us on price and terms. We also really appreciated the quick delivery to our house by the two polite, efficient workers who delivered our new chair and who took the old one away for us!
