Extremely disappointed with the service provided.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience using Home-in.
The person handling my application caused unnecessary delays due to a clear misunderstanding. I was told I needed to submit a signed contract, yet the app only has one section labelled “Submit Contract of Sale,” which I had already completed. At this stage I’m still negotiating terms—so why would I submit a signed contract? It makes no sense, especially if the purpose is for review.
Because of this, my application was effectively halted for almost a full day, which in this market is unacceptable and could potentially cost me the property.
What’s even more frustrating is the complete lack of follow-up. There was no attempt to chase things up or provide updates—it was simply left sitting there for a day or two with no communication.
Given the urgency involved in property transactions, this level of service is not acceptable. Based on my experience, the low ratings you see on Trustpilot (around 1–2 stars) are not surprising.
I’ll be leaving a formal complaint as well.

Abort Abort.

Please people read the previous reviews including mine and learn from my mistake. Home IN is a disgraceful service. Forget the 6 hour pledge, nothing for 3 business days. Read the fine print and then read it again. Nothing was done on time and i mean nothing. The settlement figures were all late and Home IN and the soliciter they contract out to, were on completely different pages. Now, to add injury to their poor customer servicr business model, im getting bills from the water company for the period the vendor owned the house.....that should have been completed at settlement not two weeks after covering a period i didnt even own the house. Avoid them, thanks for nothing Commonwealth Bank who this company.

Stay away. Pathetic service from the incompetent…

Pathetic service from the incompetent staff when the system has issues and they assumed i was using the App when I was not i had to resolve it myself. Then I discovered that their advertised cost of $699 was misleading and false advertisement as it ended up costing me an additional $524 or 74% more . When I complained their response was it was in the T & c's. So does that mean that any conveyancing will never havr any searches as the additional costs were related to title searches one would assume that they would know that all settlements require a number of searches and thus additional costs.....stay away. This product is owned by Commbank and they are complicit in the misleading and deceptive product worh false advertisement.

Very terrible service.

Very terrible service.
Has no advice at all, you need finish almost everything by yourself, if you are confusing something and want to ask them for an explanation, you will not get answer for sure, they will let you read the App Q&A and related articles to find the answer by yourself.
If the documents have to be provided by the team, it will supply very late.
Very disappoint service for sure.

STAY AWAY FROM THEM

Extremely disappointed – it was a true nightmare!! Wrong information were provided, causing delays and stress. Had to handle everything myself, despite paying for professional help. Communication was poor; had to chase them for everything. Responses were slow, and when I did get replies, they were "ChatGPT" style answers with no real information provided. The entire process was mishandled, leading to unnecessary delays. It's hard to believe this is the level of service from CBA – truly disappointing for their reputation. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. Find a local solicitor and let them handle it for you..

This is just wrong

This is just wrong. CBA not only have a huge conflict of interest with Home-In they are offering a $500 discount on an inflated conveyancing price so even with the discount it is more expensive than competitors and they farm out the work to outside lawyers. The app does not work properly and we would never use them again. We were referred by our CBA loan manager and have no respect for them any more. I will never recommend them again

Poor time management

If we quickly want to get conveyancing done then we can't really rely on this. They say that they would get back in 6 hours after uploading the contract, its been 4 days and I still haven't hear back from them.

Not worth the discount. Find another conveyancer!

My partner and I had a terrible experience with homein and cannot recommend their services to anyone. The conveyancer assigned to us failed to provide proper support and caused us to lose out on our dream house! The app is also terrible, and no one seems to get back to us on time. I strongly advise hiring a proper local solicitor instead of relying on this dodgy crew. Despite a nice discount, they do not offer value for money in our view and basically refer you to an external law firm. We have a great relationship with our cba lender and were shocked they recommended us. Never again!
