Great options for working lunches! Cannot recommend AnnMarie’s meals enough!

Delicious and flavoursome. Good quality meals that tastes better than a take out

It is not clear that this is a subscription. I made what I thought was a one-time purchase, only to receive a second delivery the following week.
You already know this since the first option in your list of reasons for cancelling a subscription was "Thought it was a one time purchase"
This is scam to get a second order - probably knowing that you would not otherwise get return business. This is not the behaviour of a reputable company
Some of the recipes did included additives.
The food was not authentic, at best average, most is sloppy and inedible. And definitely not chef quality. The portion sizes are small with low protein content. They are not good value for money. The advertising is false.

Best food prep company I have tried, the meals are very tasty and full of flavour

I love HomeCooks. Meals are so tasty and somehow still have low calories. Customer service great too.

Half the meals were fresh (chilled) half were frozen. No indication as to why this should be. Some ingredients (slaw) clearly not suitable for freezing and I'm not looking forward to trying them. My first meal was the chicken satay. Unlike in the photos, the protein (chicken) was in one of the smaller compartments; the biggest was filled with a huge congealed lump of rice. Tasted ok, but threw a lot of the rice out.

I love that not everything is lumped together and is in three separate sections.Can look at ingredients as I’m not too fond of too much chillie.

The meals are delicious and you can tell time has been taken to prepare these properly. I was previously a Hello Fresh and Gousto customer but simply could not find the time to prepare and cook if working late. Homecooks does the hard part for you, leaving you with fantastic tasty and balanced meals every day.

Really happy with the meals received. Good quality balanced meals in a good container. Great choice of meals with clear and easy instructions. Tried others but this is the best so far.

Quality and taste are excellent. I’ve tried a few meal prep companies and HomeCooks help me hit my protein goals without sacrificing enjoyment for my food.

Solid selection of dishes / cuisines, super flexible service and fast customer support. The eco conscious packaging is also a great aspect of this box too.

Really good meals , restaurant quality

Decided to try HomeCooks after using another meal delivery service for a while. Unlike the competitor the meals aren't sloppy, homogeneous mush. So far all the meals I've tried are great. I'm on the ASD spectrum and the textures and not having different parts of the meal touching has been such an improvement. Only thing I'd change is maybe putting a spice rating available when choosing.

So far so good. The meals are delicious. The portions look small but they are nutritionally balanced so I can’t really complain. This is my first week using this service. I like the ability to filter to choose high protein low calorie meals. I am a terrible cook so the convenience of having home cooked food is importantly for my weight loss journey. I chose home cooks because of the Afro Caribbean and Asian offerings.

I’ve ordered from Home Cook twice so far and overall I’ve been really impressed!

The meals are genuinely tasty, portions are good, and compared to other meal prep services the dishes feel much more balanced.

One thing I especially like is that they actually include a decent amount of vegetables rather than just focusing on protein and carbs.

The menu variety is also really good with lots of options to pick from, although it would be nice to see more fish options as the menu tends to be very chicken-heavy most weeks, even if the dishes themselves are quite varied.

One thing, I’m not sure I fully trust the nutritional information? I’ve been using recipe boxes specifically to help with calorie tracking and weight loss, and while the food is excellent, some meals have seemed much richer and oilier than the listed calories would suggest?
If I wasn’t actively tracking calories, I probably wouldn’t mind because the food itself is genuinely good. But Home Cook puts calories and balanced eating very heavily at the centre of the experience, including the integrated “balance” calorie tracking app, so accurate nutritional information feels especially important.
(very cool to have that app included!)

The website also still feels a bit buggy at times. I’ve had issues with delivery dates and skipping weeks.

That said, customer service has been excellent whenever I’ve contacted them. Responses were very quick, friendly and genuinely helpful.

Quick Suggestion for the recipe selection flow it would be nice if the meals you’ve already selected were grouped at the top or easier to find, rather than having to scroll back through the whole list to work out what you picked previously.

Even with my small complaints Overall I still think it’s one of the best meal prep services I’ve tried, just with a few areas that could be polished further so keeping 5 stars for potential!

I have been a customer for a while now, even with a few issues they have responded in good time with insightful answers and working openly to resolve issues and make the service better. So the customer service side is as good as It can be, excellent. Now the food… the choice is great, I like spice and I can chop and change each week depending on mood, I have some favourites and I really enjoy trying new options. They are all tasty and well made, they might not be to your liking but the choice means your weeks don’t get dull and you never need to made do with something you don’t like. I learned that I actually don’t mind brussell sprouts and I fact really really enjoyed them. But I am a sucker for the Indonesian Beef Rendang. I find homecooks is perfect for me, I and look forward to seeing where it takes me.

The good = super quick and easy, your dinner will be ready in 4 minutes! The food is super tasty.

The bad = a tad expensive but you are paying for the convenience of your food being ready to eat. The portion sizes are ok, sometimes a tad small. The selection is repetitive for vegetarians.

Overall = great for someone like me. I.E.someone wanting super tasty food with some portion control, not being bogged down with too much choice, and willing to pay for the convenience of having food ready to go.

Probably the nicest food I’ve tried in ages from a prep kitchen delivery service. The butter chicken and Louisiana chicken are fab. Will carry on using as very handy when working and getting time to cook is difficult.

Home cooks is the best ready made food plan I’ve tried!! Home cooked food which tastes like restaurant quality. Definitely recommend!
