Beware

I ordered some fabric on line in the evening and then realised I couldn’t afford so sent them three messages via different channels to cancel the order. I then rang the next morning but only got an answerphone.
Eventually I got an email to say they had cancelled the order and would sent a confirmation email “ in due course.
As this was cancelled very quickly and the payment was only ‘ pending’ on my account I assumed they would do as other companies do and just not claim it.
On the contrary, they have taken the money and I’ve had no notification of a refund despite every attempt to contact them.

Do not use this small company.

Super slow delivery

Order fabric from other small business on the same day, the other companies fabric has arrive HH have not even shipped yet 🙄

I needed a specific dyelot for 4 balls…

I needed a specific dyelot for 4 balls of wool. The correct dyelot was shown on the website during order, then purchased the wool. After payment the order confirmation showed a completely different dyelot. I immediately attempted to reach customer service through chat on the website, no response, then asked to cancel my order via email or chat. No response. The wrong order was subsequently sent to me, which does not work for my project. It was important to me as the dyelot difference between the product is significant (production changed countries from Yorkshire to Turkey).

It doesn’t take much effort for a small business to provide good service, but unfortunately this did not happen. Reading the other reviews I am not going to bother trying to return the wool.

Avoid this online shop

Avoid this online shop! Spent nearly £100 and they sent me the wrong fabric. No customer service at all - they are ignoring my telephone messages and e-mails. The online chat is pointless - they ignore that as well. Very quick to send out marketing e-mails though

Order a three separate orders

Order a three separate orders, granted one was on pre order the rest wasn’t. Nearly 3 weeks delivery on one nearly 200.00 order, I emailed but got no response. Ordered was shoved into a plastic post bag no tissue paper or attempt to neatly pack. Keeps sending newsletter saying staff working extra to cover demand. Very poor customer service. Comms none existent. Would not use them again.

The cost of poor customer service

I’ve spent a considerable amount of money over the last few years at Hollieshaberdashery and have always looked to support this local business when I could and going out of my way to use them. I had an experience in the store and it hit me how little they cared for my business. Therefore I will no longer care for theirs and vote with my feet. Myself and friend went on to order our planned fabric online with other retailers and it was nearly £600 today for that one shopping trip. Why do retailers forget that their success (or failure) is built on the everyday treatment of their customers. Very disappointed

Rubbish customer service …

Bought wool which arrived wrong colour batches - having a nightmare getting a response from online chats and emails to return order - company admitted error but expect me to return goods at own cost when their error 🤦‍♀️
Rubbish customer services to resolve so opening dispute with visa today as no other option
