I have done the first steps in working together with Holborn Assets. My interactions with the advisors have been professional and very informative. They understood my situation and proposed alternative solutions to help my assets grow.

Hounded to sign up. Once secured and having received his commission, the ‘advisor’ went to ground (and, soon after, left Holborn). Then the fun started. My capital decreased in a downward spiral. At no time was I offered any advice to stem losses, although my money was moved to a ‘better performing’ fund, indicative of just how bad the initial one was. When I (regularly) emailed and spoke to the new ‘advisor’, the advice was essentially ‘stick it out and do nothing’. After seven years, my fund value had decreased by a third, despite all financial indices showing market growth (most of over 50%) over that same period. My only viable option was to cut my losses and run - gallingly, incurring early exit fees (just to rub salt in my wounds). DO NOT TOUCH HOLBURN. The positive reviews are, let’s say, a little too similar and a little too gushing to be true. You need to read the one-star reviews to see the real oil - and, sadly, they’re all very similar to my own experience. Holburn’s ‘service’ is nothing short of appalling. Laughably, when I wrote a previous review on this site, a response (clearly automated) said that Holburn was sorry to hear of my negative experience and that someone would contact me to discuss… I’m still waiting about nine months later…
I was advised by Holborn Assets to invest in Godwin Capital No. 8, based on assurances about the security and suitability of the product. This was presented to me as a safe and appropriate investment. The company has since gone into administration, and the Administrators’ latest update indicates investors may only recover around 1–2% of their capital, over several years.
I have serious concerns about the quality of advice I received, the due diligence performed by Holborn, and the way this situation has been handled since the insolvency. Communication was slow and limited, and I only received important updates by contacting the Administrators myself.
I relied on Holborn’s professional guidance when making this investment and feel deeply let down. I am sharing my experience so that others can be fully informed before making decisions about financial advice and investments through this company.
Update – 9 December 2025
Holborn replied publicly to my review on 26 November stating that “a member of our team will be in touch directly.”
As of today, no one from Holborn has contacted me. Their only communication since has been a generic mass update sent to all investors, which does not address any of the concerns I raised or the advice issues involved.
I will update this review again if Holborn eventually responds.
Update – 29 January 2026
Holborn has now replied stating that it does not accept that an advisory relationship existed, despite the investment being recommended to me by a Holborn Senior Wealth Manager.
I am therefore proceeding with external regulatory escalation.

My husband and I trusted Holborn Assets advisor Jason King to invest a large amount of our life savings for us in a two year fixed interest bond. He chose two companies to split our money between, Empire Special Situations and Godwin Capital No. 8. Shortly after he set this up for us both companies went into receivership taking our life savings with them. It turned out that both companies had been financially insecure years before our funds were invested with them but were paying introducers sky high commissions to attract new investment. The commissions meant more to Holborn Assets than their clients financial security. Jason King was promoted to partner for his efforts on our behalf which says it all. If this is the sort of company you want handling your life savings the give them a call but you have been warned. It’s too late for us but not at this stage for you.

My advisor Danny Quinn took me through the process explaining it in detail and was always available if I ever asked to meet for a review. The online portal as well made it easy for me to check my balance regularly. So in general, the client relationship management was at its best.

Great and speedy service from Hector Sigasa since I've dealt with him in terms of financial advice or sorting out my Policies and investments. They came highly recommended.

This firm recommended we lend 200k euros to Godwin Capital in the UK in May of 2024. By October Godwin was shaky and by December told their creditors they couldn't meet their interest obligations on the loans. Now they're in receivership. We're in our 80's and that was a big chunk of our assets. We have no way of knowing if we'll ever see a dime returned, let alone interest. We feel Holborn didn't bother to do any current investigation of Godwin's liquidity, leverage, trends in the UK market etc. They totally let us down.
Robin got back to me very quickly and offered sound actionable advice.

I was thrilled by the indepth education on the unskilled usa visa from Steve. Steve was very patient, articulate and friendly. He ensured the whole process was well understood and now, I'm fully informed of every step towards my usa relocation process. Thank You Holborn!

We’ve worked with several financial advisors over the years, but Michelle and her team at Holborn Assets have truly stood out as exceptional. They are clear, transparent, and take the time to explain every step in a way that builds real confidence and trust.
What has impressed us the most has been their results and the returns we’ve achieved through their guidance have been far better than with any other firm we’ve used in the past. Beyond the numbers, it’s their integrity, responsiveness, and genuine care for their clients that make the biggest difference.
We finally feel our finances are in capable, trustworthy hands. Highly recommended.
