Very good experience, would use Hiyacar again!
They used to be a okish company. I liked how easy itvwas to get and return a car with them. They had a problem with listening to the customer properly, had to write to thrm several times to explain only to be ignored, but id didn't seem way to serious.
Problem is that now you can't find any more club cars, they have none anymore. Also, their excess for PREMIUM insurance is 5000£ 😲
I hope they fix these 2 issues so we can come back to them
I provided vehicle rental services on multiple occasions in April 2026 as a long lasting customer. As of September 2026, payment for the work completed remains outstanding. Despite raising internal complaints, the company has employed delay tactics. I am pursuing the outstanding balance.
The organisation’s conduct is highly unsatisfactory and unacceptable.
Similar to other users, I have not been paid for my rentals. I have complained and chased the payments which were due months ago. I have had many apologies but no action.
Used this platform before and had no issues. Been chasing payment for months and get fobbed off with "payment system broke" Seems like I am not the only one... avoiding paying me a hefty amount out. Taking them to a small claims court to get money back.

you are sitting on my earnings with a whole lot of excuses. you are just not worth the time or the effort

First time using Hiyacar with work. Really easy to use app and well explained. Impressed. When I had an issue with the end of hire vehicle lock, I got instant support from a live chat (thanks to Leah!) to make the vehicle secure.

Can’t even get my account verified because they have tech issues all the time. Reached out twice 14 weeks apart and both times they either had a tech issue, or the verification database was down. Waste of time…
UPDATE - One month later and still no response from Hiyacar and no hope of ever being paid. Total scam. Notice how quick they are to respond to Trustpilot reviews but not actually make payment.
Totally fraudulent company - do not rent your car out with this platform.
I've now rented my car out twice and have yet to be paid for either booking. Unfortunately my experience is the same as many other reviewers. The first booking completed over 6 weeks ago and I've had to chase every day on their chat service for payment.
Every agent responds with a variation of "we're deeply sorry for this", "we're looking into this", "we've raised this with our finance department", yet they continue to withold payment and refuse to provide an update on when it will be paid.
I've had to spend hours chasing this and all of this admin is just for an £84 fee, which probably doesn't even cover the cost of the depreciation of the mileage that the renter puts on the car. That's what you sign up for, but you soon realise it's really not worth the money. I dread to think what would happen if there was an insurance claim.
When first listing my car, I made sure to check with them how to be paid 70% booking fee that they advertise on their site if you take out their breakdown insurance. I received a booking and took out their insurance the same day on their instruction, before the booking began. They then tried to claim that the 70% payment would only apply from the second booking onwards. In the end, it was only when I asked to file a formal complaint that they agreed to honour the 70%.
Regardless, it's weeks and weeks later and I still haven't been paid for the booking so it's all been work for nothing.
I've now delisted my car and it seems I now have no choice but to go through the small claims court.
Shocking service. Really not worth the risk.

I’m a car owner. They sit on your earnings for months, string you along when you complain. They have done this repeatedly and each time give the same waffly rubbish about ‘changing our payment system’ ‘some technical difficulties’ ‘sorry will escalate’. I feel they treat me with disdain and I wonder if their business model relies on failing to pay owners for months. Appalled at how bad this company has become.

I have listed my car a few months ago and I had to chase down the first payment. I have now been waiting for the second one for a month and a half and, despite chasing several times, I still haven't received my money! Looking at other reviews, it seems this is exactly their strategy...
UPDATE: below reply is just for show, over a week later and I still have no news whatsoever about my money!

My biggest issue with Hiyacar is not the vehicle problem itself, but the extremely poor customer service that followed.
After a failed booking on 23 May 2026, I contacted customer support seeking assistance and a resolution. Since then, I have sent multiple messages through the in-app chat and by email. Many messages were simply ignored, responses were often significantly delayed, and on more than one occasion the chat was closed without the matter being resolved.
I also requested copies of the chat logs relating to my complaint, but this request has been completely ignored.
I submitted a formal complaint by email on 26 May 2026 and, despite repeated follow-ups, I have still not received a substantive response.
Problems can occur with any service, and most customers understand that. What customers expect is clear communication, timely responses, and a genuine effort to resolve issues when they arise. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience with Hiyacar.
The lack of communication, failure to respond to a formal complaint, and disregard for requests for information have left me with very little confidence in the company and its customer service standards.

hiyacar used to be great for hiring out your car and making a bit of extra money. Since the start of this year is has gone downhill and it's a real shame.
On the 1st of January the feature to unlock your car remotely was completely changed - without warning.
It was said the supplier had started changing their methods, but if you opted in you would get the new technology reimbursed to you after a certain amount of hires.
So I signed up. I chased them multiple times to re-install but heard nothing from them.
Recently when I've asked they say they are no longer honouring that promise and now I will have to pay in excess of £300.
Not only this, but they now NEVER pay on time for your past rentals.
I currently have multiple outstanding payments waiting from them. They only pay after you chase them often & frequently.
It's a shame, they used to be great but now they're absolutely terrible.

Careful. I listed my car on HIYA the past years and reimbursing me for my rentals slowing down a year ago with many excused. I m now chasing several due reimbursement since a couple of month. Attention to all how hire out their car via HIYA.

If I could give less stars, I would. I have rented my car with Hiya Car since September 2024, always takes chasing and follow up to get payment from the app. Currently waiting for a payment from April, was told it would be paid within a week of hire, then 14 days... still no money. I dread to think about how much chasing and personal time it would have taken if anything had gone wrong while someone was using my car.

However, the app is quite buggy. Clicking on new messages doesn't mark them as read, and the map filters sometimes resets for no reason. Also, it says I could opt for premium insurance. When I did this and saw my receipt it said I only had standard. After getting in touch, apparently premium was not an option.
I think once these bugs can be fixed, everything will be perfect! But until then, I can imagine some customers will find the UI too buggy to consider using the app.

I have had about 2 hires in 4 month , NONE OF THEM HAS BEEN PAID. I contacted them and a lady said 'when my supervisor will come he will call you back..." its been 2 months now and I am still waiting for the call.
I received a PCN fine and I submitted a claim for the renter to pay, I have never heard from hiyacar regarding that claim.
Looks like it is a company, poorly managed by a couple out of their council accomodation

Been in touch with Hiyacar on numerous occasions- they have dumped a ‘decommissioned’ car outside our house for the last 3 months - terrible customer service avoid
