Cancelled pre order just before release

Placed a preorder with Hit back in October for the Yakuza 20th anniversary on PS5 and they've left it till 6 days before release to let me know they've cancelled my order. Everywhere else is now out of stock, very disappointing and very poor on their behalf to not even compensate in anyway. Won't be using them again unfortunately.

Bought evercade/super pocket -taito case. Handheld console Fit perfectly. Room for 3 games if using type c- type c and headphones. Otherwise room for 4 games. 2 zipped compartment. Made well with super pocket stitched to case. Glad I shop at Hit first time 4 days ago. Sent item quickly and courier was good enough.

Miracle workers!

I severely underestimated the supply and demand for Tomb Raider IV-VI Deluxe for PS5; sold out everywhere before launch day.

I’ve been hunting everywhere, whilst the deluxe edition is available from the US and Europe, neither option offers both the European rating system and English language on the outer box. I resigned myself to paying a small fortune for a second-hand copy…

I don’t know how, but Hit managed to find some stock for the European (PEGI) English version. Magic, I say! Price was about same as launch day at other retailers. Game was dispatched very quickly and sufficiently packaged; arrived without damage.

I’ve not ordered from Hit since their dramatic separation from their parent company, but I can now confirm they’re still a fantastic retailer. Highly recommend them!

Very Happy

I was a bit curious about this company so thought I'd try them out. Ordered on the 14th of October, the item was sent next day. It really surprised me because most companies take days, even weeks to ship something. Think from them to me, was about 3 days. It came filled to the brim with paper so it was very well protected. I really can't recommend this company enough.

Worth using HiT

Generally the best place to buy my ps5 games from, normally have the lowest prices too. The delivery has NEVER been late!
Customer support and service is exceptional. Although its a small business I'd highly suggest using them. They even have a point reward system that gives back once you've earned.
I've spoke to Kevin a few times who always replies promptly and deals with any issues I have.
Definitely a company worth using and I fully stand by them as one of the best.

A grateful customer

I have used this company a couple of times now. Just discovered they are a small independent business, and it shows, as they really care about their customers and how they conduct themselves. Some larger companies don't always seem to care as much :(

I ordered a game and Royal Mail mistakenly delivered it to the wrong address. A very helpful chap called Kevin emailed me back and forth regarding my missing item and had a replacement sent to me within 24 hours. Not to mention it arrived the very next day as I needed it for a birthday gift!

Will definitely be purchasing from them again. Thank you Hit.co.uk

Customer service done right

Ordered a steelbook ps5 game, which was delivered on a friday by royal mail, who damaged the steelbook in transit(dropped something heavy across box leaving imprint. contacted hit friday afternoon and got a response pretty much straightaway. after a couple of emails(with pics) back and forth issue was sorted and replacement sent out Monday with extra packaging(thanks Kevin) far better experience than when I had an a damaged item from game.

Give them a chance !

My Amazon order got cancelled due to an issue, and then they were out of stock when reordered. So Hit seemed to be the only other shop selling Trails In The Sky 1st Chapter (excluding ebay). Since I ordered it on release day, already with 10% off, Friday 19th September 2025 at 14:55pm and within 5 minutes it said dispatched I was a little nervous about the pace going off the lower starred reviews. But by 12pm Monday morning it was here !! Since I didnt pay for express delivery that is really good. I will for sure use this company again now I know about them, smaller companies need the help. No company is ever perfect, Amazon lost my parcel twice with 2 other preordered Trails series games. (Ahem obviously stolen)

very easy to browse site, excellent prices and wonderful customer service. huge shoutout to Kevin who went out of his way to help me (even on a Bank Holiday) and was very generous. highly recommended retailer for great products at bargain prices and the most human and attentive customer service I have ever had the pleasure of contacting. Hugely dissatisfied and disappointed

Placed an order for a game, paid for Royal Mail track 24 postage, no dispatch notification or order preparation email.

I emailed them asking when it would be likely the game would be dispatched as it is/was for a gift and have had zero response.

Never used HIT before and although cheapest have had a terrible experience so far and won’t be using them again.

Should have stuck with Amazon.

Buyers beware.

At the time of purchase, express delivery was not available or advertised for "Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley (Nintendo Switch)." This was because the item was not in immediate stock (in-stock). The product was "available" to order, and both the product page and checkout clearly indicated the estimated delivery timeframe. The delay in shipping is because for "available" items, we must first receive the stock before we can dispatch the order.

This is the best customer service I've…

This is the best customer service I've experienced in the UK.

My game order was delayed, and there were no tracking updates from Royal Mail. So, I contacted Hit, even though it was a Sunday. Hit responded very quickly, and they confirmed from their backend that the item had been picked up, but Royal Mail hadn't shipped it on time. They professionally advised me to wait another week before Royal Mail could declare the item as undelivered. Afterwards, as soon as they received confirmation that the item had been delivered, they notified me immediately. Even though it was a Royal Mail issue, Hit's customer service boosted my confidence in the delivery.

Recommend for pre orders

Have been pre ordering a lot of games with Hit recently and they've all been delivered on time. Plus they're the cheapest I can ever find. Ordered a game at 11pm with standard delivery and it was delivered 12 hours later. Incredible.

Competitively priced but insistent on using Royal Mail who constantly lose and delay orders. Try to support small business but let down at every turn. Back to Amazon. Do not buy from here if you want your order in a reasonable timeframe.

I really wanted to support this website…

*Updated my review because of a detailed and quick email from a company I received. Understanding, clear information with history. Because my pre-order was late, they stated "raise a complaint with Royal Mail" if the order did not arrive by Saturday from the game release date/expected delivery date of Thursday.

My original review was made out of irritation because I really wanted to support this website because I used to use Base for all my games. But for 3rd time in row my pre-order is late. Especially, when you could have bought digitally or from different suppliers for release date.

I still miss the 'wish list'/'favourite, good way to keep track of future releases and general games I might want.

Customer service has always been friendly and helpful. But still dislike 'SHOP' app links.

This is only the second time I've…

This is only the second time I've usedthis website to buy games, not going to bother again... this time bought a game after release, takes forever to arrive! Even when they say 'available' on the website, bare this in mind when buying, they also seem to use some third party app to track your order, that for me at least doesn't work, had to email them for tracking.
Just seems to be a slow unreliable service and place to buy, better off and faster even on Ebay!

We send all parcels using Royal Mail. For items sent with a tracked service, you can track your shipments on the Royal Mail website.

The parcel or tracking number is included in the shipment confirmation email and clicking that will take you to Royal Mail's site.

If you use the Shopify's Shop App, we acknowledge that it sometimes displays the incorrect status, and we have reported this issue to Shopify.

Items ordered with standard FREE post will typically be sent via an untracked Royal Mail service, which provides delivery confirmation but does not offer full tracking.

Items tagged as "available" can be purchased, but they are not in immediate stock.

The estimated delivery time-frames for items are displayed on the product page and at checkout.
