I came in on the middle of this Hippo roll-out. I believe it can be a good product for us however, I have wasted a great deal of time trying to edit some parts of the system that need some fine tuning. It probably has more to do with the time I have to work with it. I have used several different maintenance programs, this one is either too encumbering to figure out on my own without any tutorial, or not user friendly at all.

Great tool

Amazing asset!!
This system has been an amazing asset to our maintenance staff as well as our entire agency at the Altamont Corridor Express! The software is very visual which makes it easy to use and easy to teach even the most anti tech person to use as well. Any time I am having problems or questions Natasha, Mel and the entire staff always makes me feel like I am their number one customer with a quick response and solution. They are always improving their software and I am excited to see where future of HIPPO will take us.

I did share your name with another school who you now serve. The beginning was a little rough from both side of the start up.
Unfortunately we have not taken full advantage of the tool we have due to the amount of time that is required to enter data. My staff has complaint about the system not being easy to navigate.
The ability to tract hours is less than satisfying. I would like to see a place to enter time for each visit and then a total hours for the tickets.
We have used the software for less than two years now; it works fine. Some growing pains trying to get staff to use the system.

Some quirks, but overall very useful
Hippo software has been helpful in managing our maintenance work, and being able to record equipment information and work history for future reference has been very handy. The interface has some quirks and inconsistencies, but Hippo support has been helpful and usually answers any questions within a day. They are also open to suggestions for future development which is appreciated. I'd like to see features working more consistently across different browsers, but overall this has been a good system to use.
