I unfortunately booked the wrong date…

I unfortunately booked the wrong date on AirBnb and the company literally NEVER answered me on airbnb, not once! I sent so many message 10 hours after booking and realising my mistake, and absolutely no one, no one got back to me and Airbnb of course couldn't help and they said they contacted the host with no return. Never again.

A pure scam

A pure scam, once received your credit card, they just took more money than the booking itself. We have been fighting for our unrightful taken money since two month. Avoid this crimimal scam hotel!

Absolutely shocking, do not use

Terrible terrible terrible customer service experience.
Our flight was cancelled so we need to claim our accommodation back on insurance. We have asked Hip Hip Stay for a receipt of payment and an invoice so many times, and they have repeatedly flat out ignored us.
They do not respond to any emails, and when we speak to them on the phone, they say they’re going to do it and never do.
They are a terrible company with no remorse. They will not lose out on any money and all we want is a receipt of payment, which they never sent through when we made the booking.
This has been going on for 4 months now, and we have got absolutely no where.
Please do not use this company, they will take your money and never look back.

Amazing Location & Lovely Room!

From start to finish the booking process was so easy and Hiphipstay made everything hassle free.
The room was fantastic, the bed was very comfortable and the shower in the room was amazing!

Finally the location was fantastic, 3 mins walk across the bridge to Temple Bar (perfect stubming distance)

Never refunded a cancelled booking, complete lack of communication

I booked with Hiphipstay the year before Covid hit. As allowed in the terms and conditions at the time of booking, I attempted to cancel my booking with ample notice when it became clear that international travel was unwise. I then heard nothing from the owner for many months, and my booking passed whilst the lockdowns were in place. He later agreed to repay the money for the missed booking, but failed to transfer the funds, and then once again stopped reply to any attempts at communication. I am still in the process of attempting to recoup my money via the small claims court.

Very bad

Service was horrible. No way to get in contact with the owner. We booked a room and they send us the wrong code to open the door. We had to wait 45 minutes to get the right one. Then it appeared to be another room than we booked. Again now way to get in contact and they ignored our message. The room was very noisy and you felt the room vibrate the whole day/night because of the loud ventilation system.

TLDR: room was different than advertised, bad service and now way to get in contact.

Avoid like the plague!!!!!

Horrible experience. I arrived and I couldn’t open the front door as the dial wouldn’t light up for long enough, I had to wait for 15min (it was freezing cold). Despite I rang the bell several times and the cleaner was inside. I got to the room, nice and tidy but no heating, I contacted the property and they told me the hearing comes up at 5pm!!! I waited for 40min in a freezing cold room, no answers from the property despite my txts and left. I was exhausted as I was travelling and just came back from work looking forward to have a shower and a nap and it was an absolute disaster. Checked in a hotel near by, the Mont. I wouldn’t recommend. By the way parking is 3h per hour from 7am to 12am… they said it was 7 till 7… spend your money in a nice hotel instead of using this accommodation and pay for car parking.

Very hospitable staff and great location

We were very well received, the location is great and the room was cosy. It could be a bit cleaner though, and could also use a chair or extra table to be a bit more practical. A hairdryer would be a cool plus to add too.

Poor communication, wrong room

Communication from accommodation was poor. We were stood outside the front door while still waiting for entry details to the property. The room we originally paid for was not the room we got, the one we got was much smaller and did not have the river view. We tried to contact the accommodation regarding the incorrect room, but had no reply until they wanted us to leave a review for our stay. Air con was uncontrollable and the room was constantly cold. However the shower was fantastic.

Everything was up to the expectations

Everything was up to set expectations. Apartment is really close to all the interesting sights of the city, the view around is great and the commodities are excellent. There was a pleasant welcome set of coffees and shower consumables were provided as well. Instruction are very easy to follow and the hosts are very fast to reply.

Bad, Worse, Hiphipstay.

Super loud ventilation system right in front of the window by the bed. So loud that the bed is humming with the sound!
The window is old and gives of a chill when you are in bed close to it.
Loud and weird knocking sound from the water piping all night.
No contact at all to the host, just automatically generated mails for check-in/-out.
Unbelievable they have this room for rent. No idea how anybody could have a good night's sleep there.

Philip’s Hiphipstay room was…

Philip’s Hiphipstay room was comfortable, modern and clean which suited or short trip to Dublin perfectly. We had the basement room which was surprisingly quiet given the location right on Ormond quay. Philip was helpful and responsive to our messages.

Avoid avoid avoid!

Large wet patch on bedroom carpet, dirty sheets, mouldy shower, a bathroom door that didn’t close and absolutely appalling customer service - sent photos of the dirty room to the owner and was told the wet patch was temporary and to change the sheets myself if I wasn’t happy. It was so bad we actually couldn’t stay. A complete and utter waste of money.

Very impressed

I couldn't be happier with my stay at Hiphipstay. Perfect location, very reasonable price, and timely response to emails.
The room was beautiful, spacious and clean, probably the nicest room I've stayed in so far on my dublin trips. I highly recommend it and will stay here again.
