Brilliant service

I ordered brick slips and corners from Higgins. They arrived on time and in perfect order, unfortunately my builder got the amount of corners we needed wrong. We needed 12 more so I contacted Neil who was most helpful and went above and beyond to help me. He put the requested corners in the post and they arrived the next day. The service, knowledge and professionalism of this company is second to none and I certainly will be using them again. I would honestly recommend them.

Bland wall sorted!!

Needed some inspiration for a bland wall.
Ordered sawn wood panels that just sit straight on the wall on a strong plastic backing.
Easy delivery and they look amazing.

Been installing products for Higgins…

Been installing products for Higgins for years. Product are high quality. Had a few late deliveries over past few months but that’s the environment we are in at the moment with COVID delays with transport companies. Not just Higgins deliveries. Trust me I’ve had troubles with many orders from different companies I’ve ordered from. Keep up the hard work Higgins. We will be ordering again. Ben

Small Batch of Brick Slips

I needed just 0.5sqm of brick slips for a small domestic project, which was much less than the typical minimum order. Neil Greenwod at Higgins went out of his way to accommodate, arranging for a small batch of slips to be added to an existing delivery at no extra cost to me. You don't get service like this very often - highly recommended.

It’s a 10 from me 👍🏻

Having read some of the reviews, I must have been very lucky as Neil has been brilliant from my initial engagement, to help with sourcing an installer and then the delivery.

All small businesses are having a very hard time and having spoken to him today, I will be ordering for our new home and project in the coming weeks. 👍🏻

Not to be trusted…

Visited showroom and was impressed by Neil and the stock available. Placed an order to the value of £700, which our bank stopped due to concerns with the company. Managed to get the payment through based on my visit but waited longer than expected for delivery date. Delivery day came and went and no bricks arrived. Lots of excuses from Neil and an offer to redeliver 3 days later! Was told I could cancel but would be stopped the delivery fee, which outraged me. Cancelled my order and demanded FULL refund. I’m not convinced I’ll get the money back having read some of these reviews and fully expect to progress to the small claims court.

Hi Joanna, many thanks for your email. Your delivery failed yesterday as the driver ran out of time. You cancelled your order after office hours yesterday and I mentioned I would get a full report for you first thing on 29.7.2021. In regards to your comment about delivery fees. If a consignment can be proved it is in the transport system when a customer cancels, it is clearly stated in our T&C's that those fees have to be deducted from any end refund. Luckily however this morning the transport company agreed to refund the delivery fee due to the late delivery. We cancelled your order and processed a full refund before 10am. With a screen shot of the transaction emailed to you.
We have contacted our bank after your comments and they have told us we are not flagged on a high security risk band. And that some banks if customers are paying a online retailer will flag us as a slightly higher risk and may sometimes ask customers to contact them to confirm it is them making the transfer. This is just the way it is with some banks. So you have had you money back this morning and we hope that you are able to source the product quickly else where and that your project is a success. Product never arrived

I ordered a sample (expensive at £17.95) in April. Nothing arrived. Only got a refund on June 9th after several attempts at phoning and emails. No-one answered or called me back. On 19th May decided to order anyway without seeing the sample. Still not seen any sign of a product. Operations manager says and writes the right things but the fact is, they have not delivered the product. I now have to cancel the project as the decorators have finished everything else and gone off to another job.

£52k of unsatisfied CCJs!

Do not order from Neil! I placed an order for charred cladding in January 2021, and paid in full.

Neil has provided excuse after excuse. The reality is that he has never ordered the goods. A CCJ search shows that Higgins Cladding Limited has £52k of unsatisfied CCJs, most of which have been raised in the last 6 months.

I will be doing the same, and subsequently serving a statutory demand & winding up petition to get this company liquidated.

Great product and arrived in the time…

Great product and arrived in the time explained by seller. I'm currently building around 10 Nightclubs/Bars in the UK and deliveries have been horrendous due to the UK ports categorising items as a result of Brexit. Reading some of the previous reviews I feel this is unfair to blame the guys at Higgins as it's a national problem currently for everyone. I have multipul items in customs now which are weeks behind. Back to my item.. thanks again, it looks great on the bar front!

Stunning product and great service

Stunning product and great service. Had a short delay in receiving the sample but only to be expected in the current climate. The stock arrived exactly as promised and couldn't be happier with the communication, the available advise and the product.

People please be aware

People please be aware. I’ve purchased stuff from them end of March 21 and goods never turned up to me... Hardly, got a refund and in the meantime I found the real supplier... Made the order with them and got the goods 4-5 days later. Products are amazing homemade-shop

Waste of time with awful service.

Having ordered brick slips on 11th April, its now the 25 days later and I have had to cancel the order due to Neil's consistent lack of information. I think at this point we have been told they were delivering on at least 5 different occasions, they never arrived. When I finally took the consignment number into my own hands and called the courier it didn't even exist. Every time I managed to speak with Higgins they were full of excuses, across 2 weeks of chasing, Neil didn't once do what he said he was going to do over the phone. Higgins blame the courier service, however the issue is one of communication and customer service, of which there was none. Shop elsewhere to avoid having your project ruined.

Had a great experience with easy…

Had a great experience with easy ordering, all my questions answered and on time delivery. Neil was great at returning all phone calls and emails with any questions I had. Our conservatory feature wall looks great! Highly recommend Higgins Cladding. Good service and great product 👍

Fantastic product

Just finished my first project using the products from Higginns and am about to start my second. Can’t fault the service and advise given plus a quality product is seconded to none.
I slightly under estimated the amount I needed but was able to get another 1/2 meter to finish with no problems.
Delivery was slightly delayed on the second order but we are in the middle of a pandemic however communication was grate.

The absolute winner for worst company EVER, Neil a born liar, dont even bother to read all the reviews as its a sad tale of failure and disappointment all round.

Like so many other reviews for this company our experience of Higgins Cladding mirrors them exactly.

Got the samples requested – got the advice I asked for – advised the maximum delivery lead time was 7-10 working days - placed the order - made full payment – received order receipt. Then everything stopped.

Two weeks later started to chase my order. Neil had every excuse under the sun – checking consignment – with the transport company – at the delivery depot, in the yard. I asked to be copied into the emails to the couriers – asked for the yard number – asked for a tracking number, all of which I was refused. I mentioned to Neil that I’d seen the bad reviews which unfortunately I came across after I placed the order. Neil said “a few bad reviews within 121k orders in six years – I would say shouldn’t worry”. It turned out I should’ve been very worried.

Neil occasionally replied with unhelpful sporadic emails with more excuses and complete lies and wouldn’t answer my phone calls unless I called from a different number. He answered these calls as he thought it was new business. After telling me that my order was in a local depot waiting to be picked up by a transport company – he randomly asked if I wanted a refund – why would someone offer a refund if the product was in my area awaiting collection for delivery – because the order never existed in the first place – that’s why. No order delivery arrived of course.

A full refund was received after waiting ten working days but it wasn’t a refund I wanted, it was my order. I’d booked contractors and hired equipment to get this work done and now due to the unprofessionalism of this company I’m left with an unfinished project. Please avoid at all costs unless you want an extremely stressful experience. A complete fraud.

IN RESPONSE TO HIGGINS THE CLADDING STORE
At no point did I ever once discuss cancelling my order. Why would I when I had tradesmen on site awaiting the goods. You cancelled the order on the day you advised it was due out for delivery as you knew there was no order and there wasn’t going to be any delivery.

IN RESPONSE TO LATEST REPLY FROM HIGGINS CLADDING
Neil - Firstly, you were not threatened with any physical violence at all and no other staff members were ever contacted during our whole process with Higgins Cladding – only yourself. You’ve also failed to miss out the critical point in the conversation referring to coming for you “legally” if our order did not arrive on the day you advised.

Your readiness to find a reason to cancel the order points to you not been totally honest with me in the first place as I feel the items never existed. Prior to me paying you any monies I received a polite and efficient service from yourself. Once the monies had been paid this changed to vagueness and an unwillingness to provide any information to validate what you were saying was actually happening.

This does not seem to be an isolated incident as many other reviews seem to support my experience. If this is innocent on your behalf, I would highly suggest you review your policies to allow transparency to the customer regarding order fulfilment / transportation and therefore eliminate the element of mistrust I’ve experienced.

Please feel free to feedback how you wish as I’ve a totally clear conscience to the statement of coming after you “legally” as this would be an ideal opportunity to have a conversation with the said parties regarding your practises. In addition to this I’ll be highlighting my experience of the service received from you to the trading standards.

Finally, with regard to my project your unprofessionalism has caused me to lose both time and money and now have to find a reputable company to fulfill my requirements.

The only positive in this whole stressful experience is I’ve learnt the lesson not to take anyone at their word prior to giving them money and never to use your company again.

Hi, Thank you for editing your review 3 times. We thank you for this as we now know who you are, to be able to respond to the review correctly.
The date of delivery was given out and confirmed over a week before the delivery. We tried to get an ETA for the consignment delivery in the morning of the delivery but were unable to. We then got a phone call from your tradesman who you apparently know extremely well. Who was very abrupt on the phone, verbally abusive to one of our staff members and actually threatened physical violence if we didn't hand over internal contact details for our suppliers and transport company contact. Higgins Cladding will not accept behaviour like this and immediately cancelled the order, contacted the transport company to cancel the delivery and refunded via the card payment system Stripe immediately. Card payment system refunds are not a same day transfer of money but a receipt from them confirming the refund was sent to you. The the transfer of money would have been automatic through the banking system.
Higgins Cladding Limited never like having to cancel an order as lets face it, companies take orders to survive as a company. We do react to customer enquiries as quickly as possible. This delivery was being made during a lockdown period when communication with the transport companies was more difficult. We apologise that we couldn't get the ETA for the day that you were calling us constantly for. We sincerely apologise for any frustration the matter caused but we can't allow our staff members to be abused on the phone by customers, even the customers tradesman.

I cannot believe this company are still…

I cannot believe this company are still operating. Before ordering anything please read all reviews on here and on Facebook. I was one of the lucky ones who got their money back as I reported the company to the bank and they took very prompt action by freezing Higgins account. I had dealings with this company back in December 2019 and I am still being contacted by people who have read my reviews and asking advice on how I got my payment refunded. I know this company have been reported to trading standards on many occasions.

Hi Sue, You say we have been reported to Trading Standard on many occasions. I find this hard to believe as trading standards have never in the 6-7 years we have been trading, contacted us for any reason.
When something happens on an order like a delayed delivery (in Sue Hayes case) you can report any suspicious activity to your bank. The bank then will investigate any potentially fraudulent activity. In Sue's case we supplied all the information the banks needed and Sue's fraud claim was dismissed.
The refund was initially delayed as the cancellation and refund claim was submitted to the company by Sue within a 2 week Xmas office closure period. We literally couldn't refund the order until beginning of the second week in January 2020 when we returned to work. But by that time Sue had already approached her bank and put in a fraud claim knowing that our company was in an office closure.

Avoid at all costs !!

Avoid at all costs !!! Complete waste of time !!! FAILED to provide our order on two occasions. We never received products. Had a stroppy email after I politely asks where our purchase was. I truly question if this is a legit operation !!

Hi Lee, Thank you for your review. It is never good when sample packs fail to get to a customer. And even though we posted yours via Hermes and then a replacement pack via Royal Mail. You still did not receive your sample. Hermes tracking is limited and Royal Mail 1st Class post is not a trackable service. So we simply could not tell you where your sample pack was. You requested a refund of your sample pack and this was immediately processed. This order was for a sample pack and not a main order which is delivered by a fully trackable pallet delivery service. And we immediately refunded you the £5.80 for your sample pack. Why would you think we are not a legitimate company? Regards, Higgins Team

AVOID!

AVOID!
We placed an order back in November and since then have had nothing but problems with this company.
We have still not received the order, and have had to chase Neil god knows how many times with him replying with a different excuse every time!
I have now asked him to cancel our order and issue us a refund, to which he’s said has been actioned and I should receive the money within a few working days (this was over a week ago and still no refund).
Neil is full of excuses after excuses and complete lies.
A complete fraud!
