Make sure you get all quotes in a paper copy and review them carefully
To be clear, I think the tattoo artists are fantastic at this location. My issue was related to the estimates and actual billing process. I will start off by saying that I am partially at fault for not asking for paper copies of my paperwork including those with estimated costs.
I was give a quote when I booked an appointment for me and my friend. We were given an estimate that apparently did not match what was on the paperwork they have you sign. We went off of the verbal estimate which we knew might be slightly higher. I paid the $300 deposit and we got the tattoos a couple of days later.
Weeks later I received my credit card bill and the overall expense was about $300 to $400 more than what we were verbally quoted. They did not provide me with any paperwork stating what the estimate would be.
When I spoke with the manager about the discrepancy he said "look that's what you signed and I can't work off of a verbal misunderstanding on your part. The price is correct and I have all the paperwork you signed and agreed to". He had absolutely no interest in what I had to say. He had my money and he was done with me.
I am writing this as a warning to any first time tattoo customers. Get a paper copy of all your signed paperwork especially anything related to pricing. Make sure you read it closely before they perform their services. Do not make the mistake I made of accepting verbal quotes.
