Amazing. I have just this word.
I scaled my ads to the sky from french to US
No transparency about their subscription. They claim to be unlimited meanwhile after subscription they switch to a credit system even with their Avatar video generation feature.
Heygen is a scam. I need a refund.

I've Paid for Months for WHAT? When I actually use it & need support, they suck! Slow, repetitive response times that still amount to no help in resolving the issue in a timely way (if at all). I'm looking for other options. Any suggestions?

This company operates in a highly unprofessional and questionable manner. I subscribed to their service and used it for about a month. However, I was charged again for a new billing cycle without ever authorizing any auto-renewal.
As soon as I noticed the charge, I immediately contacted them to cancel the subscription and request a refund. Instead of resolving the issue, they responded with a comparison to companies like Amazon and Netflix, which is completely unreasonable, those companies are known for handling refund requests promptly and professionally.
Based on my experience, I strongly advise others to be cautious and think twice before providing payment details on their website.

When you subscribe they dont say their good model runs on 20 cred per min and you only get 200 cred a month. No transparency in cost.
Support says can use model 3 unlimited but that model sucks.

This morning, my director of marketing went to the HeyGen platform and found that everything changed.
Videos we developed are no longer editable. Furthermore, if we create new videos, and if there's a mistake or we want to make a change, you can't use that particular video, you have to start from the beginning.
We have about 30 reels on their site that we cannot edit. What's more, our director of marketing has at least 200 hours in the project, in addition to her assistant's hours.
They didn't even give us a warning or any options.
Because of this, our go to market launch schedule is pushed back by about 2-3 weeks. We will need to find an alternative source, and this affects our revenue.
We are not their "lab experiment."
ATTENTION: HEYGEN,
YOUR RESPONSE IS BOILERPLATE.
WE'VE TRIED TO RESOLVE THIS WITH YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM TO NO AVAIL.
IT'S TIME TO TALK WITH YOUR CEO.
I'M A CEO, AND MY TEAM IS FRUSTRATED. I'M GOING TO BE CLEAR: YOU HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO REMEDY THE SITUATION, BUT IT'S NOT LOOKING GOOD SO FAR. I HAVE OTHER OPTIONS.
AS OF NOW, BETWEEN MARKETING & TRAINING VIDEOS WE HAVE CLOSE TO 100 VIDEOS IN LIMBO.
I'M A LEADER IN THE WORK I DO. CHECK MY LINKEDIN PROFILE.
THIS IS AN ISSUE FOR JOSHUA XU.

I signed up for the Creator plan expecting unlimited video usage as advertised. However, after only a few days of normal use, I was asked to upgrade due to limits that were not clearly stated.
This feels misleading, and I would like to request a refund.

Expensive system that eats credits and makes unusable videos.. Just a joke.

The service itself did not work for me personally.
I do have two things to mention, though.
First, the pricing is very hard to find, because it is somewhat hidden that they use a credit-based system. This is not clearly shown on the main dashboard, or even on the detailed pricing page.
However, the support team was very fast and helpful, and they gave me a refund since the product did not work for my needs.

Bullshit tool ever! All you can generate is 2 videos of 1 minute each with their somewhat called model 4. Other models are bullshit. Totally useless platform.

Someone used my affiliate link.
Despite the dashboard showing me the payment was waiting to be processed, it never happened
Over a month later I have had pointless emails from Randy telling me to be patient. Yet they still fail to pay me my commissions.
They want your money but are not interested in paying you what you owe

Their editing is Very poor. I had their support person agree and gave me some extra credits. However, It took MORE time and credits to get a polished video. THEN the next month I had to paid the "higher rate" as a new subscription price. VERY disappointed. I am now checking our DeepBrain AI and also Creatify AI

Oh boy. It looks like a nice service. It COULD be a nice video service. But it's so broken that even the most basic functionality breaks. Can't really do anything without a major bug ruining it. Then generation doesn't work. Then download doesn't work. Or it bakes in poorly made captions which you cannot remove, or it jumps things around for no reasons, or the transitions are bad... it's just endless trouble shooting. They should not release such a product and dare to charge money for it.

What went wrong? Where do I start. Clashing, garish colors and layouts, the agent refuses to follow explicit scripts injecting ugly and even bizarre elements. An exasperating time suck that will yield nothing usable. So disappointed.

This is honestly ridiculous. I gave the AI a prompt, and it generated a 2-minute 30-second video that burned through 70 credits. When I finally checked the result… the entire thing was in Russian. I never asked for Russian. Not even close. So basically, I just watched my credits disappear for something completely useless.
And the best part? If I want the AI to fix its own mistake, it’s going to cost me another 80-90 credits. So I’m paying again because their AI messed up? How does that make any sense?
I also tried to find customer support to report the issue... guess what, there’s basically no clear way to contact them anywhere on their website... It’s like they purposely make it impossible.
And let’s talk about the biggest joke: when you sign up for the $29 plan, they make it sound like you’re getting unlimited” generation. That’s complete nonsense. In reality, you’re capped at around 200 credits, and generating just 1 minute of video costs about 25 credits... Do the math... that’s barely anything before you run out.
Honestly, it feels misleading at best. Don’t just believe the marketing page when you buy the plan... the actual limits are nothing like what they make it sound like.

Pricing is not transparent.
The AI itself is idiotic and designed to churn out irrelevant garbage in order to keep consuming credits. There is literally no way to influence what is being generated or review it - until it's been generated (and until your credits are gone).
The AI is very bad at following simple instructions and is extremely slow. Zero value. Complete waste of money and time.

This service handles the task very poorly. To create proper voiceover, I first need to dub the audio from one language to another. Then I have to download the subtitles and the video, edit the subtitles, and upload the newly dubbed video again and attach the edited subtitles — which it often ignores and records something on its own that isn’t in the subtitles or in the original video that was dubbed the first time.
I also gave it a prompt with many scenes. It didn’t get a single one right. One scene surprised me: I clearly asked for a house to move from one country to another on a map, with lots of details, and it ended up showing a dot moving out of a circle.
And then it pushes me to buy a Business subscription. A service like this should be free while proving quality, and only then monetize. I don’t recommend it.

When you click on Monthly on the plan page, it changes to annual at the pay page. I missed that it would do that and now I cannot find any place to change the plan to monthly. Additionally, they make it very hard to find a phone number or AI bot for customer service. Seems very shady.

Reply from Heygen
False information.
You buy a creator subscription where they talk about unlimited videos and once subscribed, the generation costs come out based on credits.
impossible to evaluate before paying for a trial test.
compared to other similar services they are among the most expensive.
