I cannot really rate the chair since I…

I cannot really rate the chair since I had to cancel my order. I can only say that I managed to cancel it very easily and got my refund almost on the day I requested it. Whilst I need a different type of chair, my physio said the quality is exceptional – just not for my issues.
There are pretty negative reviews here, so I thought I would also share my experience, which was very positive.

Never Again – This Company Shouldn’t Be Trusted

Order number: 53623.
I ordered a chair, waited two weeks, and it never arrived. When I called customer support, they had absolutely no idea where my order was. Instead of taking responsibility, they cancelled it without my consent and basically told me to accept it. Still No refund weeks later, need to contact credit card for this scam!
This company is dishonest, incompetent, and a complete waste of time. They take your money, fail to deliver, and then treat you like you should be grateful for the cancellation. Feels like a scam. Avoid this company at all costs unless you enjoy being lied to and ripped off.

Unprofessional customer support

I really hope their customer support was as good as their products.

Right after my purchase, once I was notified that the chair was with the courier I called the courier to request a change of address since this was shipped to my brother's address by mistake.

The courier told me that only the sender is able to make a change of address request.

Then, I called the Herman Miller support center and they told me: yes we can change the address but you need to email this request since we cannot do it over the phone.

Indeed I emailed the support straight away. They replied back three days after my initial email saying that only the courier can change the delivery address and that I should call the courier instead.

(In the meantime the chair was delivered to my brother and now I have to find a way to carry it to my house).

Your customer support is a joke.

Excellent customer service

After using their chairs commercially, I recently acquired a second-user one for home. I emailed H M Customer Care after finding that the backrest would occasionally slip back from upright ‘one notch’. Their response was immediate, and the technician who clearly had a detailed knowledge of the builds of the various version of my chair was extremely helpful and patient when I – at the end of the phone – was trying to disassemble part of the chair to help diagnosis. Although the cause of the problem is still unclear, the various checks made appeared to show that the chair was safe, and that the backrest was not likely to fully recline suddenly. In disassembling, one of the bolts securing the seat unscrewed its threaded insert rather than itself; I was warned to use a sharp blow to unscrew the bolt rather than the insert – but for one of the bolts I obviously wasn’t sharp enough or was just unlucky. H M then offered to Fedex me a replacement bolt and insert FoC.
