Shockingly bad!

I purchased a Pink Floyd Dark Side of The Moon turntable by Pro-Ject from another seller.

After using it just a handful of times there were issues with it. The seller I bought it off had me send it to Henley to get repaired and then a few weeks later I got it back. It was some time before I was able to get it out of the box to set up and play it but straight out of the box the pristine turntable I sent off was noticeably filthy and hadn't been taken care of or cleaned. The very first album I played on it, the issue that I'd sent it away for repair was there. It was as if they'd just sent back what I sent them just in a worse condition. This came true when after emailing them and being told where a screw to adjust the tonearm lift was located that I noticed that the whole tonearm assembly was very loose as were the screws for the tonearm.

This sloppy workmanship with the state my turntable was returned to me in was the last straw. So I emailed them and told them all about the problems and what I thought of their service. I was emailing a fella called Craig who after the last email didn't respond and I haven't received so much as an apology from this company. It's shocking and disgraceful that they returned my turntable to me in a worse condition than it was sent to them and they should be ashamed of themselves.

I've since put this right myself. The tonearm assembly bolts were hand tight!

The seller I brought the turntable from has been fantastic and I can't fault them. They'll definitely be getting more business from me as I get into this hobby but that's my first and last time I hope to see Henley if this is the standard of their workmanship.

Great customer service

Approached Henley Audio as they support the Pro-ject turn table after being left frustrated by SONOS customer service when they delivered a faulty unit.

Henley (Scott Lawson) were fantastic. Their process was simple, their communications clear and their action immediate (everything SONOS were not).

Excellent service & quick problem resolution

I experienced a problem with a 14/15 year old Onkyo AV receiver and its remote control (somehow I had managed to mess up the codes in the remote and the user manuals did not provide a fix). I e-mailed Henley Audio describing the problem and hoped they could assist with a resolution. I received a very prompt reply from their technical department (thanks Ross) that allowed me to quickly fix the problem. Frankly, I was not optimistic about even receiving a reply to my enquiry as I was not an existing customer and the AVR was old. The prompt and helpful response says a lot about how this company approaches customer service and helps explain why they have been in business since 1997.

Very helpful

I have a record deck returned under warranty and called and spoke to a lady called Heather regarding this. Heather was pleasant, polite and very helpful. She went out of her way to get an update for me and when the unit is likely to be returned. Cant fault this service as all questions answered in a single call.

After this unit was repaired (it took 5 weeks from returning defective unit to the shop) and returned, the record deck was damaged as it had a corner broken off which required a replacement deck under warranty. This unit was damaged either in the workshop or in the hands of the courier but seems that care of it was not afforded by either the repair shop or the courier - or both.
