Suspicious Website – Multiple Payment Attempts, No Contact & Serious Card Security Issues
I made a purchase on henkiess.eu for a toaster costing €115. Immediately after paying, several serious issues occurred that strongly suggest this website is unsafe.
1. Multiple unusual payment attempts
After I entered my card details, the site attempted three €115 transactions and even attempted a €915 transaction (which I declined).
Despite that, two €115 payments still went through — each with an unexpected cash-advance fee, which is not normal for buying a household product.
2. Payments processed under a different company name
The charges appeared as “MoonPay” on my statement (a crypto-related processor), not a kitchen appliance store. Very suspicious.
3. No confirmation after paying
They sent an automated email before I paid, but I never received any confirmation email after the purchase, which a legitimate shop would always send.
4. No way to contact them
After noticing the issues, I replied to the pre-purchase email — no response.
I also tried contacting them via their website’s form and repeatedly received:
“Your submission failed because of a server error.”
5. Website later stopped responding
The site eventually went down with a Cloudflare 522 Host Error, meaning the server became unreachable.
6. Significant security impact and inconvenience
Because the website had my card details, I contacted my bank. As a result:
My card had to be cancelled
My bank blocked all further transactions
I had to remove my card from Google Wallet
I had to delete and reinstall my banking app
I now have to wait for a replacement card
All of this has been a major inconvenience — and something others should be aware of before risking a purchase.
Bottom line
• No product arrived
• No communication from the company
• Charges under an unrelated name
• Website went offline
• Card security compromised
• Bank dispute now underway
In my experience, henkiess.eu appears unsafe and fraudulent.
I strongly recommend avoiding this site.
