Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Many customers reported unexpected payments being attempted or successfully debited from their accounts, often for the same amount, without any prior subscription or knowledge of the company. People frequently expressed confusion about how their card details were obtained and were concerned about the legitimacy of these transactions, often questioning their validity. The website itself was often inaccessible or difficult to use, and many found it impossible to unsubscribe or cancel alleged subscriptions through official channels. However, some customers also mentioned that when they managed to contact the company, they were able to get their subscriptions cancelled and, in some cases, received refunds relatively quickly.

Helpinone.com scam

Having the same issue, Helpinone.com have taken £40.56 from my account. I have never heard of this company or know what services they provide.

Halifax are useless they allowed the transaction to go through and when I contacted Halifax they pretty much stated it was my own fault and initially declined to reimburse the money.

I was given some email address to fight the case.

I managed to get a reply from helpinone and they stated

Users initially click on an advertisement promoting the service.

They are then directed to a registration page where they enter their email and credit card details. Without this step, the subscription cannot be completed.

Apparently the service was for some streaming platform called All Content Max, which again I have never heard of or used.

Fraudsters

My bank contacted me to say this company had tried to withdraw £40.56 from my account but suspected it was suspicious and cancelled the transaction. Looked into it and realised when I was trying download another app this one came and it appeared to be the app I was trying to get had no title just asked for my information which I thought was for the Smart light bulb act. Now the payment has been blocked and after reading all the reviews on helpinone they are con artists that shouldn’t be allowed to advertise on the internet so shame on all the companies that let them pop up. Stay clear.

Scam

Scam - tricks you into signing up for a monthly fee. I used it for "free" having been diverted to them for proof of i.d by using my credit card. (It was for a parking app!)

This is a scam company

This is a scam company. As many others have stated, I have no link to them, yet they have attempted to take just over £40 from my account via debit card on several occasions, which fortunately my bank have flagged as fraudulant.

Avoid like the Plague!

Somehow, whilst attempting to download the Morrisons app, I was redirected to this 'company'. Being suspicious when I couldn't get back to the Morrisons page, I stopped and googled helpinone.com.
Thanks to contributors here, I was able to phone my bank and get them to stop my card straight away. Sure enough, 48 hours later the bank contacted me to say they had refused a payment to helpinone.com. The amount? You guessed it. £40.56.
To anyone trying to download the Morrisons App, be very careful what you click on. Avoid helpinone.com like the plague!

Scammers

Scammers. In my case I was searching for a Bolt ride and clicked on a Google ad for it. Site told me I had to renew my card details, hadn't used Bolt for a while so didn't find it suspicious. Next thing I knew saw a pending transaction for £40 in my Halifax account, checked my email for helpinone and found email in my spam box saying I had taken out a subscription. Despite warning Halifax it was a scam site they still cleared the payment, worse still, and long after I learned it was a scam site, their fraud dept was advising me to contact the site to dispute payment! Utterly irresponsible of Halifax. Complaining to the FCA about Halifax reaction.

Have no idea who this company is but…

Have no idea who this company is but they have also debited me £40.56 - apparently, I did an e commerce transaction for £0.00 requesting business solutions. Interesting as I don’t have a business. I’ve contacted Lloyds and they have blocked this payment now- though am interested to see that there has been a flurry of people with this same problem. I would hope that Lloyds has blocked the retailer itself given the amount of people being impacted.
