Will not renew my policy

I have been told that Prima will not renew my policy in June 2026 due to 1 of 4 reasons:-

1. Where I live
2. What I do for a living (I have been retired for 20 years)
3. Where I drive
4. Claims History ( I have not made a claim for at leasr 20 years)

They have told me that it is nothing to do with my age!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service

Does not understand basic conversation. Does not read what you’re typing to them and just types random responses. Asked me the same question three times, almost cancelled my policy twice.

Absolute liability. Will not be using this company again.

8 weeks after failing to insure me-…

8 weeks after failing to insure me- they agreed a policy then found a letter from a previous insurer saying I had made a claim( no I reported a scratch) Prima have concluded that a) they are right to hike the premium by £171 per annum, b) ignore the previous insurers letter, c) totally rely upon mindless chat bots, d) never answer the phone and e) never acknowledge any fault- imagine what a claim would be like. In the pantheon of dismal insurers, bad service and total lack of any responsibility this lot should be avoided they are by far the worst and give " cowboys" a bad name - shockers and waistralls to be sure!

Following a lifetime of trouble-free NC…

Following a lifetime of trouble-free NC driving, my last experience with ADMIRLA at renewal was a disaster—daylight robbers.
So, how refreshing to deal with Prima; it's simple, £200+ cheaper, and very friendly and helpful. Thank you.

Tinpot company

Prima asks for so many documents when taking out insurance. They even ask for proof of driving license that we had to get from a government website which required your national insurance details. I have never been asked to prove my driving license before in 30 years of taking insurance.

They also wanted proof of no claims, but as we recently bought a new car the NCB showed a different number plate on the NCB from the previous company. Prima would not accept this and said our NCB related to a different car.I expained that NCB is not tied to a particular car and we havnt made a claim. With Prima you cant prove your NCB if you change cars!!

Each time documents were submitted it took them nearly a week to come back asking for more documents. Luckily we took out the policy almost a month before the old policy expired so we had time to deal with the document merry-go-round created by Prima. In the end we had to cancel the policy and go elsewhere.

We then went with AXA and they approved our NCB the same day the policy was taken out (no driving license check). I regret ever giving Prima a chance. Jokers. God knows what will happen if we ever had to make a claim. Avoid. Save the stress.

Avoid

Not good if you are involved in a car accident. Your just handed over to a clams company and have to sign a finance agreement it’s a joke why pay insurance when Prime just pass the buck and don’t want to help or assist you.
Shocking service won’t use again
