I wanted some garden furniture assembled and came across the "HelloHandy" website which offered that service. Their website says"Hello Handy is a nationwide Handyman company, we are pride to be offering our handyman services across the UK."

I called them to make a booking, but the employee, told me quite brusquely, that they only did that in London and Manchester, and hung up.

Companies that mislead customers with untrue claims on their website should be called to account. Needless to say I won't be using them now or in the future.

Ordered furniture assembly for 2x single beds, 1 x 4x4 Ikea Kallax with inserts. and 1 2x2 Ikea Kallax unit

Handyman was here 9.5 hours on day 1 and built the 2 beds, the frame of the 4x4 Kallax and had installed 5 of the 16 inserts (albeit incorrectly). I had to build the 2x2 unit as we needed it for the kids bedroom for bedtime.

He said he would be back the next day between 9-10 to complete the job. It's now 12 and he's not here still

My daughters bedroom was left in a terrible state, all the packaging was just left discarded in the room with no attempt to tidy up at all.

We've just spoken with Adam to follow up on where the handy man is, and my wife was spoken to very rudely. He refused to offer a refund for the furniture that hasn't been built, refused to give us his full name and refused to confirm the address details of the company so we could take the complaint further. He then hung up on my wife.

Avoid this firm at all costs, run by cowboys and employs cowboys.

We'll be taking our claim to small claims court to get our refund for the furniture that hasn't been built, and been built incorrectly.

Update - Handyman eventually arrived at 1pm (3 hours late). I'll update again on job completion
