What an excellent introductory course to looking after chickens. Comprehensive, great chapter knowledge quizzes, thorough and detailed. Highly recommended.

It's been a great experience from start to beginning. I purchased the online course after we'd bought a coop in advance of getting some hens. The course was brilliant and opened my eyes to the practical responsibilities of owning chickens. I contacted Julie a few times throughout the course for various bit of guidance and I really wish I'd done the course before spending any money on a coop. If you get one thing from this review then do the course before spending ANY money, you will save it many times over. We are now the proud owners of 4 lovely hens, purchased from the Hedgerow Henporium and their new home is all the better for the advice and guidance given by them. I feel this is just the beginning. Thank you.

Really ethically sound dealer. Hens (and cockerels) are her life and for a newby is a font of free information. Her birds are really well looked after.

I bough some blackrock chickens and a redrock and 2 french chickens. They are adorable and so friendly and julie is amazing she has been at the end of the phone when ever I have needed advice or information on my chickens she responds very quick and is helpful in every way possible I woudnt go anywhere else if I want to expand my new found family. There so tame and on hearing my voice they all come running with there own unique voices

It was a pleasure to meet Julie and purchase our beautiful black rock babies.
They have settled in really well and are as cool has cucumbers.
They are growing really fast and are the funniest little things I have ever seen

I have just taken and completed the Foundation course for keeping chickens which was excellent and makes me feel a lot more confident with my new 6 chickens. I have recently completed the online chicken keeping course offered by Hedgerow Henporium.
I found it to be hugely informative , and as a total novice to chicken keeping I now feel much more prepared for the commitment I will make as soon as hens become available.
Julie and Keith are so supportive, and answer emails quickly and in such a friendly way.
I would highly recommend the online course if you are considering keeping chicken, to avoid costly and potentially harmful mistakes. It’s certainly money well spent, and because it’s online, can be completed at your own pace!
