22/12/2023 No refund -> despite employee claims not to rely on taking money out of their customers pockets or cheating them and being a regular business. (e-mail received 14/12/23)
29/12/2023 No refund -> no reaction on mail or telephone
07/01/2024 no refund and no reaction on email
27/02/2024 no refund, promise of refund but there are changes within the company so please be patient.
11/04/2024 Still no refund
7/05/2024 Heatstar contacts again to say refund will happen week after.
Again promises and several times phone but no refund until 28/05/2024.
Their professional website makes it seem like this is legit.
These people proceed as follows:They offer their products on their site, call you and give an extra discount so you pay by wire transfer. (Least protected way)
They do not order anything at all from their supplier and then come up with all kinds of excuses involving delays in delivery. (I've contacted the supplier and they confirmed that they don't do business with Heatstar)
Such as delay of the truck, not on this truck but on the next one, sick staff, weather conditions, holidays, vacation, supplier delay ...
Usually the excuses are still plausible.
They call regularly to inform you so that you do not become suspicious.
The telephone conversations are always amicable and reassuring.
The delivery date is pushed back every time.
When asking for a refund, there is a response by email with the announcement refund has been finalised and will be in your account at the end of the week. At the end of the week the same person calls you with the message that it will be in your account the next week. Week after again phonecall with the message that they did everything to finalize the payment and their job is done.
Unfortunately for me, only after a while I noticed the following things that can be deduced.
-trustpilot shows the same stories with different people
-attractive lower price
-link to trustscore (4.1) does not work
-no "personal" contact information on the site
-social media channels have no followers and no recent posts
-no linkedin profile with business data or achievements.
-no clarity on who is the manager / contact per department etc.
-If you search on lakusbv and the chamber of commerce number you will find bankruptcy of lakus, paid and revoked by the court.
-Google Maps does not show a sign for Heatstar/lakus at any of the addresses you can find.
-Always the same person on the line, never someone else, only by mail but that can be false.
-in mail communication no (other) phone numbers
If you are a victim of this organization be sure to report it to the police (So their details become known in the police database) and contact legal aid.
There are also other chanels like Scamadviser, Klick IT, etc. where you can leave a review to warn others.
We ordered a heating with this company online.
When we got to the payment it kept refusing. We received a call with explanation that we should follow the steps on the phone. No visa just the normal bank account.
Money transferred even got a discount. Waited for the delivery, promises promises... the picking will be friday, you will receive a mail. Nothing!!! 3x promises to get in touch... never heard anything, never received anything. Customer serves does not answer the phone or e-mails. We will report this to the police. Don't buy here!!!!!!!
