To get the CC for my vehicle
the person named 'Saneesh' from HDFC Bank who helped me
did not say anything until the moment the vehicle key was handed over.
At the last minute he said the CC was not ready and that he would still take more days
No one should fall for this again.
After all the papers were completed, no matter how many times I called,
he wouldn’t pick up the call , he even cut the calls.
I have a very bad opinion about this.

Can I give a minus 1 star? Login problems every month takes 1-2 days and several calls to fix it and since my account id and passwords are stored on my computer it is always their technical issue rejecting passwords and even my correct telephone number. Also, it has been a month and a half since I sent some money to SBI account and they never received it (verified account where I have successfully sent money before at least a dozen times) and still not been able to resolve it after a dozen calls and not been able to recover my money. I wish that RBI would ban HDFC from India and kick them out. They have made my life a living hell and too complicated for me to switch the banks.

I taken a forex card for my Dubai tourism. In Dubai I found that I couldn't swipe not can withdraw money by card. I contact my home branch Sangli. They told some steps to activate and asked me to write a mail to forex customer care. I did both things but through out my tour I didn't get the solution of such a small problem. HDFC Should Learn Customer Care from SBI
There was a lonI had an HDFC loan for 6 years. When I finally tried to close it, the bank gave me a closing amount. Due to an error, the customer care executive informed me ₹40 less than the actual amount. I paid what they told me, and afterward they said I still had ₹40 pending. When I explained that they had given the wrong amount and asked them to settle such a small balance, they simply disconnected the call.
To make things worse, they refused to give anything in writing through email. They insisted everything must be done only through calls.
On the portal, my loan showed as CLOSED, so I assumed the ₹40 was adjusted. But now, suddenly, they have generated a ₹571 bill just because that ₹40 wasn’t paid. This is extremely unprofessional.
I have been with HDFC for 9 years, but their service and customer loyalty are shockingly poor.
During COVID, when I lost my job and struggled to pay the EMI, their employees used to harass me on calls and even accessed my phone logs, because their app requires that permission. They even contacted my coworkers in the office after getting my employer’s details from the bank. It was humiliating and unacceptable.
On the other hand, I want to appreciate SBI, who supported me during the same time. They called only my parents—not my colleagues—and handled everything with respect. That is what real professionalism looks like.
HDFC should learn something from SBI.
Overall, my experience with HDFC has been cheap, disappointing, and stressful. I regret trusting this bank for so many years.

Know this before you go for an HDFC auto loan
I bought a Nexon EV in Nov 22 through loan from HDFC. I was surprised when i asked for prepayment of loan. Customer care would not respond over email. Calling customer care was futile. I managed to get the link for prepayment that didnot work, it locked itself after the first failed attempt.
Finally i went to their branch in Pune but was told since the loan holder is not there, i cannot pay. An arguement followed. I was told i cant prepay more than 25% of the outstanding principle. This was not in my policy at the time of issue, but was told it is on their website. How am i supposed to know? And why? If one pays anytime, it comes with 3% penalty. It was a horrible experience. Took me 15 days to prepay to an unwilling bank.

Worst bank I have ever dealt!!!zero star customer service staff who doesn’t know how to update an international phone number in NRI Account as they have updated my phone number in wrong format which caused me unnecessarily harassment and not getting OTP’s.
Now Instead of fix the issue and accept the mistake, they have sent me mobile number update form with other unnecessary documentation which clearly shows that they haven’t done anything wrong and I have made a mistake!!!!
HDFC -THE WORST BANK EVER
Absolutely the worst bank to deal with. Their customer support is careless, unresponsive, and completely lacking seriousness. Even after repeated follow-ups, there’s no ownership or urgency to resolve issues.
Honestly, it’s better to bank with a local branch or cooperative bank, where at least they value customers and act on requests. HDFC seems to have lost all sense of customer service — only good at making promises, not keeping them.
