Deceitful users
I worked as electrician with Hays, for about 5 or 6 weeks, close to home in Enniscorthy, Co.Wexford.
Then for a further 3 weeks in Co.Kilkenny.
We had an agreement that because I was driving 2.5 hours each day for the Kilkenny job, I would receive €1 or €2 on top of my hourly rate, plus €50 or €60 towards my diesel.
I had this conversation at least twice, with Hays.
Hays and the client (contractor) had spoken about this and had agreed 'something' in the words of the contractor when I broached the subject, having received nothing, 2 weeks into the Kilkenny job.
After 3 weeks travelling to and from Kilkenny from Wexford, I went on holidays as planned.
No travel money was ever given to me, as agreed.
Then on my return from holidays Hays wanted me to continue working for them, this time in Dublin.
They like to use Whatsapp as their primary means of communication, so I replied to their text message saying that because they broke their word/agreement about travel allowance, that I shall never work outside of Wexford for them again.
In any case they could not be bothered to reply to that.
So I would now go as far as saying I shall never work for them again full stop.
Hays - people are human beings, not expendable units for you to manipulate and lie to, not to mention, cheat on.
