Terrible
They never reply to messages sent. They advertise 3-5 days delivery and I chose tracked.
3 emails sent. 1 automatic reply received. 11 days later receive an email from UPS with my tracking number. To be delivered 2 days after that.
3-5 days became nearly 13 days.

Terrible. If I had known I would not have bothered and gone elsewhere.

Ordered my niece's birthday presents on 16th for her 5th birthday. £5 for delivery and estimated delivery date 3-5 days. Emailed the company 5 days ago as it hadn't been dispatched. They contacted me to say it's delayed and would be here on Tuesday 26th..still not arrived! Do not order from here.
Since this review they've emailed to say it's been dispatched (27th) and will be with me by the end of the week.

Guys you really need to keep your customer informed and answer emails. As most of these are christmas presents we need to know that they arriving in time! I placed the order on the 2nd December and it has just arrived today - 10th which is fine but I have emailed and nobody responds. Just a quick hi your order is being processed and will be despatched asap would do fine.

NO, NO, NO Do not buy anything from this place. I used to buy from these guys before H Grossman took over. I thought that, not much will have changed, big mistake! Not only have I received no email confirmation or goods purchased and my account actually shows no orders taken but also Mr H Grossman took more money from my account than the actual total of the purchase plus postage. Over £10.00 difference which is a lot of money to me. I have contacted them to no avail which is a task in itself. So please do not order anything from this website you will only be lining H Grossman’s pockets further. Con artist to the hilt!

Got shortbread out of here and they where not opened theyre soggy taste horrible and have a wet feeling to them

I ordered 3 prefilled Christmas stockings, the one for a girl 3+ is fine for my 5 year old but the 14+ boys and girls stockings were atrocious! the contents were not in anyway age appropriate. The girls contained things like a mermaid pencil, cheap slime making kit, a fidget spinner, a grow your own unicorn & loom bands!?! i mean really? for a teenage girl?? the boys only had 8 items all that looked mothy, including a 'butt bugle' which makes fart noises, a tacky ice hockey game in a squashed box, a mug i could have got in poundland and a fidget spinner!! not impressed at all! I will say though that the customer service guy was great and has arranged for free return collection asap on the day of my choice, i cant comment on refund yet though as i haven't got that far. I'd steer clear of these stockings for anyone over the age of about 8.

I ordered 2 remote control cars for my girlfriends 2 children, one of them had a birthday coming but i have to buy for both. well the cars arrived but there was a problem with both, I emailed Hawkins Bazaar as soon as I had checked the cars and found a fault, i had an email back nearly instantly from a lady called Lea, she asked for more details and gave me a phone number I could ring her on, so I rang, I explained the problem and that they were birthday presents needed in a couple of days, Lea went way above normal customer service, she knew I needed replacements quickly, she sent out straight away on next day replacements even before I had sent the first ones back ! All I can say is no other company would send out replacements before collecting the faulty ones first !! Well done Hawkins Bazaar, amazing company and Lea I spoke to was amazing ;) A truly 5 star company.

I want to tell you about the great service I had from Hawkins Bazaar. An item I bought was broken when it arrived. This was probably down to the manufacturer's packaging. There was no quibble at all and the item was replaced in full within a few days even though only one piece was broken.
I couldn't have asked for better service. A big thank you to the company and to Lea especially.

Returns are an absolute nightmare

Was told I could take items I'd ordered online to store so they couild send them back on my behalf. They were then unprepared to accept them despite an email telling me I could. I have now been told that my returns will be collected by a courier today. Have waited in all day. No sign. Huge waste of my time and still not received a refund. I will NEVER use this company again. Also have been in hold to customer services for nearly half an hour and despite being "next in the queue" this entire time no one has answered.

Ordered male and female pre-filled stockings, as a couple of years ago I ordered a child's one and it was great.. Ordered the 'normal' one as I didn't want one filled with star wars products, they both came filled with star wars products and a pen that was snapped and a fidget spinner in purple for the man (I know its only a colour but surely black, green, white... Would have been better for a man- the females one is the same colour) in the woman's one, socks that are only up to a 6 so anyone with bigger feet can't wear them. The woman's one also had laces in it that look like Strawberries when laced and iron-on woodland animals? For a woman? Who picks this s***?! Honestly, terrible. Not worth £25 paid, never mind the £50 they claim! To send them back you have to pay. Will not be buying them again!

Bought Xmas stockings for a few years from this company. Ordered this year and the stocking had exactly the same items as last years (they are supposed to be different every year) Complained and was told that they were sending last years stockings out first to get rid of them and as soon as the new stock came in they would send another stocking to me. Stocking arrived with the same items that were in the first one (but less of them). Totally unacceptable!! Would never buy from this company again.

So I go in and buy a drone it doesn’t work same day I return it’s exchanged no problem! Arrive home there are parts missing and again does not work! So Saturday afternoon I return again and swop for a different drone and to my excitement it worked and flew amazing! So I added a memory card to record a video and to my disappointment it nearly melted my micro sd, my wife returned again on Tuesday to return once again where the said manager was rude and basically said it had been crashed and therefore was non returnable, my wife called and I spoke to very opinionated chap who basically accused us of lying he then counted all parts were there accused my wife of stealing a propeller and called security! I then went in re explained and asked for evidence of misuse as were no scratches he got the display and showed me where he believed the propeller blades to have been “pulled out” we compared the 2 and he agreed they were identical! But said however I’m still not replacing it as I believe u broke it! Iv now returned home to find he has removed and kept my battery so I have a drone with no battery or ability to record!

Absolutely awful!
I ordered 2 Xmas stockings for the kids and they were nowhere near worth the money they cost me. The teenage girl stocking had tat that was labelled 3+ years!
I complained (surely this wasn't acceptable?) and was told I had to pay to return the item and at no point did anyone apologise or act concerned about my complaint.
I would never shop with this company again and would not encourage others to either.

As an update, I left a negative review of the Xmas stockings on their website and it wasn't published!

I paid extra for next day delivery to arrive for a special occasion. When I checked later the next day to track the delivery it said 'Awaiting Shipment'. Then you go to try and contact them and there is an email address only and this then says they will reply within 48 hours!! What use is that! What a joke of a company. How can they advertise a next day service and then not even attempt to make it!

I ordered a product from the website and got a complete other product in another color.
After complaining I got the answer that it was randomized which product I would receive....!
So NEVER by anything from this company- You don't know what You are getting.

Placed a £60 order for Christmas gifts (ready made stockings). Several days later I received an email saying the order had been shipped. A few days after that I logged into my account and the order status was strangely "awaiting shipping". This morning, almost two weeks after placing the order I called them (had to get the number of their parent company from saynoto0870.com as they don't publish a phone number) and was told the order was being sent back to them as the courier couldn't find our address (my work address which gets about 12 deliveries a day). The only thing offered was a refund and they were not willing to re-ship. They couldn't even tell me which courier firm they had used. I'm now having to go into our local town and shop for these gifts at various different shops which is a pain as I don't have much spare time. I would not use Hawkins Bazaar or any of their other websites again and would not recommend to others.

Looking for something original to give as a gift. This website caters for Kids and adults alike. from a few pence to a few pounds, the price range is excellent. Cheeky gifts and retro toys, party bag fillers and excellent Christmas pressie ideas. You can request a paper catalogue to be sent out if you so wish but the website is simple and clear to order from.
