As a hat wearer, you’re probably somewhat unconventional and independent. A free thinker. You delight in those differences. And so do we. Our approach is unlike any other hat retailer. We do things companies ten times our size can’t or won’t do. We’re small – really small – but the absence of bureaucracy enables the development of styles truly special and unique. 90% of our hat styles are exclusive to Hats in the Belfry, found nowhere else in the world. We travel thousands of miles, multiple times each year to partner with the highly respected craftspeople and designers to create these collections.These intimate relationships spawn great hats. Our Italian partners are not corporations with mass production. They are artisans - one-at-a-time hat makers - who help us make masterpieces. At night, when the work is done, we gather to chew crusty bread, sip wine, share stories and celebrate our creations and, if only momentarily, live la dolce vita. A great selection of hats and wonderful customer service!

A great selection of hats which are priced fairly and affordably. But the best part is their customer service: I had a couple questions before buying and Erin was quick and detailed with answers. When the hat I purchased was a bit too big (I'm right between L nd XL and this is normal for hat buying for me), Erin explained the return/exchange process perfectly and they had a size Large in the mail to me a day before they received the XL back from me. Will most definitely do business with them again!

Stellar customer service

Stellar customer service. Delivery issues were met with genuine zeal that ultimately resulted in a full replacement. Erin was awesome in expediting my replacement. I recommend them without reservation for your next hat purchase. Dr C

Great customer service

Great customer service. I was gifted a hat that did not fit and so called me when it was returned to help with my replacement order. I couldn't be more happy with the selection and the quality of the hats I chose!!!
Was thrilled when they arrived! I am a happy repeat customer and must own 10 hats for them! All have lasted years and are top quality!

Disappointing service

I placed an order and requested (and paid for) Express Shipping. To me that means FedEx or UPS overnight shipping. They sent my package USPS ground. $30 shipping for USPS is exorbitant.

They have me covered.

I ordered a nifty fur felt hat online, with immediate confirmation. It was shipped by the next day with tracking and delivered priority mail to the western USA within three days in great condition. The hat came well wrapped in a shipping box. I thought it would have come inside a second proper hat box as well but that's a minor inconvenience. I would definitely shop here again.
