Alex and Team - thank you for a great service in 2025!
We use Alex and his team for domestic grounds maintenance on our estate, which includes many beds and borders, trees, paths, driveways, patios, shrubs, multiple lawns, fields & woodland. Over the past year we’ve been extremely pleased with the standard of work and can highly recommend them for this type of estate management.
The team are reliable, hardworking, and consistently professional, and the results speak for themselves. The grounds are always left looking cared for, balanced, and well maintained, with real attention to detail across every area.
Looking ahead to 2026, Alex and the team will also be helping us restore walls and steps that need repair and ongoing maintenance, alongside continuing the restoration of beds with new planting—something we’re really looking forward to.
Alex brings exceptional experience and knowledge and is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure you’re happy with the outcome. His team are equally passionate, talented, and professional. It’s rare to find a service provider that ticks so many boxes. They are understandably very busy, so if you manage to get booked, consider yourself fortunate.

Harrell landscapes replaced, and improved, our decking and have made a wonderful job of it, despite some complications with the brief. Their quote was competitive, their approach was professional and attentive to detail, and they even managed to fit us in earlier than expected! Being a single woman you are always wary about any work being done . But from start to finish I can not fault Alex and the guys - from my stupid questions and query’s to advice, suggestions and for me the most important thing was so clean and respectful of my home keeping it clean and tidy plus they were so friendly and helpful . I cannot recommend them enough and will miss making the guys coffee . I’m so over the moon with my garden , they have made it a haven my little piece of heaven

These are the guys you want to get in for any landscaping or garden design needs. Alex, Mark and James were initially called in to replace a single patio which was going to take 2 weeks to complete. Because they were so good at what they do we kept adding to the list of tasks. 2 weeks turned into 6 weeks work, with a garden redesign, 2 new patios, a new pergola and a new block paved drive without any fuss.

The team are really nice to have around and nothing was too much trouble when we made changes to the works along the way. Genuinely honest hardworking guys.

I chose Alex and the team for a small but difficult garden and I am so pleased I did . From the outset they were competitive, focused on my needs and highly attentive. When the work began they were utterly professional at all times and a pleasure to have around and highly trustworthy . I can not recommend their work highly enough as they gave me lots of inspiration and ideas at all times and they are also really tidy and tidied up every night !!)

Alex, Mark and James did a brilliant job on a complex project in our garden. We had a steep slope that needed to be cut back and tiered with brick and sleeper retaining walls. It was a huge project but the result is wonderful. They stayed faithful to the design and worked closely with us on making it work for our garden. They were flexible and helpful, and generally lovely to have around. Thank you!

I initially contacted Alex with a vague idea about re-turfing the back lawn and putting some plants in the borders. Based on this unhelpful brief, Alex came up with some excellent designs ideas and I now have a garden that I am genuinely proud of. Alex is knowledgeable, diligent, accommodating and has a "can-do" attitude which is rare to find. His team clearly know what they are doing and are polite and pleasant to deal with. What's more, without fail they left the garden neat and tidy at the end of each day. Overall, I am absolutely delighted with the work that Alex and his team have done and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
Looking forward, I now have plans for the front garden. There is absolutely no reason for me to consider anyone else so I will be in touch with Alex again in due course.

Alex and his team recently laid a sizeable new lawn at Tewin Water House. Their planning was meticulous and they worked like trojans to complete the job in just a couple of days. First class effort and the finished result looks spectacular.

Alex and team were engaged to do a total revamp of our patio area. Throughout Alex and his team worked really hard to complete all the required work. Whenever we asked for small changes these were all accommodated and we are really pleased with the end result. All the team were really friendly and it was a pleasure dealing with them all. As a result i have recommended them to a number of our neighbours looking to get work done.

I engaged Harrell Landscape to carry out a complete transformation of two of my sites. The result! outstanding and exceptional. The service is next to none. I will recommend them for anyone looking for a bespoke service.

Highly recommended. Complete garden redesign carried out with quiet efficiency. Polite and respectful team who were totally self sufficient ….no traipsing in an out of the house etc .
My wildlife garden including gazebo patio and pond is AMAZING.

The garden in our new built had very poor drainage and we were quite disappointed for the same. Alex worked on our neighbour's garden and was highly recommended. We did book Alex and his teams services early but had to wait due to other prior commitments of the team. A very good job done. My garden is transformed and looks amazing. The drainage has improved. Would highly recommend the services.

This review is a bit late, sorry! We had our back garden revamped in August 2020, old decking areas were relaid with porcelain patio and the garden was re-turfed with new beds and planting. They had to dig out the roots of an invasive tree which was destroying our lawned area and also laid a barrier membrane along the fence line to hopefully stop anymore unwanted plants from finding their way across. We had several quotes and Harrell Landscapes came in with the best price by far. We had seen a neighbour having work done which is how we found them.

The team worked really hard to complete the job and were always respectful, leaving the site tidy at at the end of each day. Alex was on hand at the start and end of most days to review the progress and deal with any snagging issues and he was keen to make sure we were 100% happy with the work done.

Alex is font of knowledge when it comes to planting too so I left him to choose the plants for us. He also planted a lovely lollipop tree in our front garden to replace something else which had died, he listened to what we wanted and came up with lots of suggestions for us. I would happily recommend Harrell Landscapes.

I moved in to a new build where the garden had very poor drainage, a muddy boggy mess! Alex came and had a look, discussed our intentions for the small space and talked us through how to make it in to a more useful space. Very quick turnaround on the quote and a great price. As we were having furniture arriving for the front room, and that was the only access to the garden - the guys prioritised the work and started within a week. Carefully covering the floors and making sure there was no mess, the team made swift work of removing the old ground and bringing in the new base. I now have a fantastic usable garden and all within a week. Great job! The team will be back in the spring to plant the wonderful raised beds!

This company was fab! They were able to fit in my job at short notice and turned my horrendous bomb-site of a front garden into a picture perfect scene. Couldn't be happier - thank you!

A very polite and friendly team who left the site clean and tidy and were willing to take on board our input on materials and design throughout the job. They also didn’t mind our young children taking a keen interest in the work. We would definitely recommend Harrell Landscapes.

Alex has done a number of things for us in our garden over the last couple of years, including landscaping, laying a new patio and barked play area and replanting plants. His team are always Respectful, professional and friendly. Alex is very accommodating of last minute ideas and changes.

We wanted a revamp of our small back garden. To increase the size of the seating area, to replace the lawns and to have some nice beds put in with good soil as our soil quality was terrible.

Contacted Harrell Landscapes (after we saw them working on another local garden and were impressed by their professional and considerate approach). They replied very quickly, arranged a visit to see the site and discuss our wishes. Alex came back with four different designs of a stepped level garden, patio and raised beds with a new lawn laid. The raised beds to be filled with excellent compost.

We scheduled the work to be done and it was completed in just 7 days (including the removal of the existing deck and clearing everything from the old garden). The team were very considerate of our neighbours, cleaned up the area well, and did lots of little extras to make it all look very polished. They even put a curve on the patio stone to really make it unique.

I would completely recommend them. The peace of mind for their quality workmanship and professionalism is why I am very proud to promote them and provide this review.

During a very difficult time, Harrells really came up trumps. Alex kept in touch and told us what was happening every step of the way, if he wasn't actually working on sight, he turned up at the beginning and end of each day to check the work and pick up any snagging.
They have transformed our garden. The work is of a high standard and all the workers are polite and hardworking.
Alex has a high level of expertise and was able to tell us what would work and what would not re the design.
It looks stunning.

Any snagging will be completed to our standard after this crisis has passed.
