This was such a big decision for us as we don’t get finance much particularly for such a large amount. We dealt with the same person Leon and he answered all our questions and there was a lot! Very patient as I could not make my mind up, we got there in the end and everything from start to finish went smoothly. I applied for an HP loan for a car to which I was originally declined. I was then contacted by Kirsty and was told that they had found a lender that would be prepared to go ahead, but it was at an enormous APR rate of 20%.

After agreeing with the preliminary rate, she said that I needed to verify my income with them and sent me a link to share my bank accounts to which they approved and said I verified it.

Hearing this, I was led to believe that everything was going to go through smoothly since I have no issues on my credit report, and so I started viewing cars in person.

I was asked to send through the cars I was interested in so they could calculate what deposit I needed to put down. One of the cars had an deposit of £8000 compared to £3000 for a car that was £2000 cheaper so it didn't make much sense.

After finally finding a car I was interested in with an appropriate deposit, I then put down a deposit to reserve the car. After doing this, I was then told to submit some basic identy details. One of the basic details I had to set up was setting up a direct debit from my bank.

They declined my account twice without disclosing the reason, so then I used another account which was pending. After a few hours I asked is there anything wrong and was told they're just behind. So I assumed that maybe the next day everything will be sorted. Kirsty told me that she'll update me tomorrow which she never did so I messaged her and didn't hear anything back

2 days later, she then responded telling me that my application is going through further checks because of FCA requirements (randomly picked out) apparently. She reassured me not to worry about this and was vague in how long this could take when I directly asked her how long can this process typically last for.

I was then told I need to verify my documents again because they "errored"
At this point, I knew something wasn't right, so l just waited again patiently. I then checked the Autolend website link myself and was it showed that my application was rejected.

I contacted her asking if that was the case and I was told that the lender didn't disclose why and the are "sorry".

In future, don't lead people on thinking they have been approved by a lender when we clearly haven't. Communicate the situation accurately and be transparent about keeping us updated throughout the process.

Things to note;

I checked the finance documents, there was a charge of £500 for using their services which wasnt declared by kirsty herself but in terms and conditions and the finance agreement. The APR rate was also increased to 22%.

Kirsty shown patience delivered on her promises and held my hand through the mindfield of middlemen brokers and dealerships
Would deffo recommend Happy Finance and especially Kirsty Mc ..
