Happn puts your FlashNotes in the recipient's notifications section of the app, which most users ignore because of the daily spam notifications. And those spam notifications quickly displace your FlashNote, so that it is unlikely to ever be seen. This is totally by design. The goal is to limit your new contacts so you keep paying for longer. If you find someone and leave, they lose a paying customer.

Seem to be yet another darting app which I've wasted money and time on. The premis is fine but it seems absolutely no one in my area has the app, making it totally redundant. It may be worth a go, you may be more lucky. I'm finding that if you're unsuccessful on one app, you will be on them all-just a personal experience

Has far more fake profiles than other apps. The whole app is filled with unrealistically beautiful girls which obviously don't exist. They must be paying for pictures from somewhere.

Does not have KYC and so is full of fake profiles from scammers and other fakes too. Proper identity verification would eliminate almost all fake users.

I met my ex boyfriend from this app. The craziest person I ever met. Never told anything of his life or even where he lived and had several secrets that was untold. After long relationship he disappeared and never talked to me again. Next day he was on that app with a different name and age. So I though maybe I should give it a try with someone new as is around the area. I was completely wrong as the people that pass nearby don’t live around the area they just pass from work or something. Hundreds of guys trying to sell some scam investment and crazy stuff. Today I went to see my matches and that app blocked my profile without telling me the reason. What the hell is that ? How can they block me without anything wrong they are all my pictures I never lie of anything? Just because I blocked lot Of men there that are creepy and perverted. Avoid it all cost.

So this app is supposed to match you with people you've crossed paths with except it doesn't. The people I've spoken to have been no where near me despite the app saying we've crossed paths at some point during the day!
I've been in Manchester City Centre all day, one man was in New Brighton, one in Warrington and one in Burnley, I've not been to any of those places today and they've not been in Manchester today!!
I've given one star as no option to give zero stars!

Fake profiles, same picture with different profiles etc. Don’t bother

This app has so many fake profiles and a lot of them are crypto love scammers. Developers should do better at verifying users.

I closed my account several days ago yet im still getting emails from them . There is no other way of contacting them due to acc being closed sick of this 🤬

Haven't used it all that much, but liked about 75 of 100 profiles that popped up...got 3 matches which were pretty much unresponsive afterwards...and then apparently there were still >20 people who liked me...must be all the gals I did not like ;) but to see them of course you have to pay...gave 2 stars since I feel like it's twice as real/good as badoo

Doesn’t deserve one star!

Thankfully I didn’t pay for the privilege of being scammed by catfish profiles. I was suspicious when said individual ‘Marco’ was from Oz and who spoke French but said his English was fluent. Wrong! Half the time I didn’t understand what was being said but I was too polite to say that his messages were ramblings. So his photos looked odd,reverse image didn’t show anything but phone numbers link to profiles on other social media which is where the he/she was revealed.
It’s absolutely disgusting that these fraudsters mislead people like this. Catfish Uk need to get onto this app, they would make a killing with the amount of fake profiles.
Don’t waste your time or your money.

Happn App is such a scam. I’ve had so many likes that I start talking to, and anyone with half a brain can tell you’re talking to a computer based on the responses you get. And I 100% agree with everyone else about getting all these foreign profiles as suggested likes. Complete garbage don’t pay for it you’ll regret very quickly like myself.

I have serious concerns regarding the legitimacy of this App. I set it up then was banned the next day, I hadn’t even had the opportunity to speak to anyone so know it was nothing I had done. They then wanted a copy of ‘an official ID’ to reactivate my account. Avoid at all costs.

Hello everyone, Happn.ie they block me,without a legal reason and they send me a message to contact another website from France from their support team..
After I send them 4 messages,still nobody answered back,my advice keep your money and don't waste your time too with Happn.ie

It's a scam. There's no way to use the app without paying and even if you pay it is still a scam. You can like all thousand profiles in your area and not receive a single like back. Maybe you will receive likes if you pay them enough money but I'm not going to investigate that any further.

Nonsense timewasting.

This is organized scam from owners. They hire companies such a Cloud Workers which create fake profiles and chat with you as paid companions, virtual prostitutes, scammers.

I live on suburb Petržalka(100k inhabitants) of Slovak capitol city(400k inhabitants). I don' travel to centrum of Bratislava often, I have local job. My parents in city 30k inhabitants under mountains.

My home is biggest concrete suburb in CzechoSlovakia and even Hungary, there are only Slovaks, some Czechs and few Hungarian or gypsies.
Here is nothing for truism, even Bratislava it self does not have too much tourist which I could recognize so does parents city under mountains.

1.20x per week some Asian fake profile crossed path with me and more than 95% of them made connection with me(match)! Even I didn't left my apartment due a epidemic.

2.I didn't see Asian's person or another different race(Africans, Aboriginals) for decades! They don't live/work here. We have though immigration rules.

3. In time when everything was closed, locked, limited and I didn't left my apartment in biggest concrete suburb I got decades matches with classy, posh young Asian's women. This is nonsense stupid fraud.
a. International airports were fairly limited so does private international flights.
b. Traveling between regions was banned for few weeks.
c. For few months we had state of emergency, almost marital law. I could not go even to my job what is few miles far!
d. Though winter which we didn't have 10-15 years. Winter/thunder storms, extra low temperature.
e. Shops almost sold out all food. We had food shortages.

And I still get regularly crossed path/matches with posh Asian ladies which has photos from summer, Arabia/Persia, when winter storm was behind my window so I barely could see temp.meter few inches far!
4. We are 95% Slavic nation and state, rest are gypsies.
a. Met foreigner outside citycentric(Old town) is rate specially on Petržalka.
b. My parents saw Africans only in TV in their smaller city are not even gypsies and Vietnamese's grocery.
c. It is under high mountains 2500meters+
d. Though winters, short summers, hard jobs, no slackers.
Even there some Asians crossed path with me and made a match.
This is bullsh*t. I never saw another race outside city center in capitol city.
We are almost entire white/Slavic/European city.
You can't have here 100x crossed patch with Asian profile with posh mid 20 women witch pictures from expensive Western EU/Arabic/Persian/Asian cities.
I personally never were outside Europe.

From all this around 1000x crossing with Asian women and 900 matched, I crossed path only with around 10 white women around 5 were Slovak and 2 transgenders.
And even they could be fake profile.

App history:
2014-2017: Good idea, I crossed paths, matches and few dates with real, local people.
2018-2019: Local persons instantly disappeared and I crossed paths with someone regularly, matchee many times, few meetings very few foreign persons(Polis, Hungarians, Ukrainians, Russians), more than 60% looked real.
2019-2021: 99% profiles are fake. 80% of them are fake Asian profiles with paid companion and 50% are some s*x advertisement profile(viking s*ex etc).
- s*x profiles writes just"Hello" and unmatched.
- Asian Cloud workers says same bullsh*t. Hello, here are you from, I came back to China due a covid, give me whats app"

Awful, Awful, Awful RUBBISH CUSTOMER SERVICE. I don't even have an account but someone has contacted me on Facebook to tell me I matched with them on an app called happn. I've never even heard of it but apparently my name and pictures are on there. I contacted customer service to get it removed and had to jump through hoops. They asked me to send my ID to locate the account. I sent over my ID and they would not remove it. They then said I would need to screenshot the fake account eventhough I had already told them I don't have an account and was told by someone else who I no longer speak to. I was asked to contact the person who saw it and ask them to screenshot it. What do they not understand that I cannot contact this person as I am blocked? I would have to register in order to find it... complete SCAM. They should be able to find my details with my name and photo on my ID that should be enough details to locate it. The customer service adviser called Ninah is so ignorant and unhelpful. DO NOT SIGN UP!!!

So I am a 27 year old guy. 6 foot tall. Work full-time and have filled in quite a bit of the information on the app. I’m putting this purely as some background for my review.

So I used the app around 6 months ago for a month or 2 and am now using the app again and have been doing so for another month or so. Both times I have had zero matches, get people that I have supposedly crossed paths with, that are all 50km+ away. Get spammed once a day by Happn to purchase one of their various extras to try and find a match easier. Any match that you do make using their gimmicky games are clearly fakes profiles as every picture is blurry or they’ve not filled in any information at all. The majority of profiles, even if they look genuine, do not ever reply as have been offline for most likely weeks.

The concept of the app makes sense, connect with people you may have literally crossed paths with. But when I’m being recommended people from the other side of the country it becomes quite apparent this app doesn’t actually do what it was designed for.

Will be deleting and simply wanted to let other know to not waste their time as it would actually appear that tinder almost isn’t as bad as you’d think (only almost, it’s still pretty terrible too)

Downloaded Happn for the 1st time and built my profile, just testing the water.
I keep getting messages, great, then you look and these messages are ‘sponsored adds’ “first 2 boxes 1/2 price....” etc. Fu*king hell, I don’t expect to be sent messages from advertisers, I’d rather have messages from potential dates. I joined a dating site, not an index of marketing crap!
Any dating platform monetising advertising in this way must be pretty poor at their primary ‘dating’ purpose!
I checked the recent reviews on here and it’s all pretty negative so I’ll avoid Happn and deleting my profile now. Such a waste of time and effort, it could be so much better!
