We are proud to say we have more than 50 years of experience, and have used that time to better understand the needs of our customers and how to meet them. As a result, we have served generations of customers. Quite a few have never slept on anything but a Hamseys mattress, and we hope they never have to! Highly recommend

We upgraded our double bed to a super king and we will never look back, good price and very good quality. Mike was super friendly and very accommodating. And made sure we chose the right bed for us. The delivery came a little over the time frame but that was ok the guys had a busy day but they kept us up to date during the day, highly recommend.

Brilliant new bed!!!

We've needed a new bed for a while and thought we'd give hamseys a go. So glad we did, the staff are so helpful, big shout out to Mike who spent more than an hour with us. No pressure at all just plenty of honest advice about what to buy. I wouldn't hesitate buying from them again and can highly recommend them. 👌

Great store and staff

Went to Leatherhead store just to have look. Excellent range of beds and Mike couldn't have been more helpful, full of knowledge and not at all pushy as that can be really off putting. Will definitely be back to buy soon.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!

I bought a bed back in May and received damaged in 2 places. After multiple phone calls, voicemails, and emails not one person has the courtesy of getting in contact with me in regards to this!!!

They even replied on this review saying to contact them on an @office email and nearly 2 months have passed and nothing. Absolutely shocking behaviour.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY

They sell broken or damaged beds and when you want to return they refuse and refuse the law under the consumer rights act. I will be taking you to court and reporting to trading standards

Everything here is grossly overpriced

Everything here is grossly overpriced. I went there to buy a MLILY Dream Nano-Cool Ice 4000 Pillow - was told the price was £120.00!!! Shocked, I left. I then bought the same pillow from Mattress Next Day for £49.95 + £9.95 delivery = £59.90 - that is 50% of their asking price! AVOID AT ALL COST.

Faulty bed and no contact

I bought a bed back in May and received a few weeks ago, the bed head and base had slight damage. I know these things happen, but after multiple phone calls, voicemails, and emails not one person has the courtesy of getting in contact with me in regards to this. Not ideal customer service I would expect.

Hamseys Beds Be Care full

I and the family have purchased beds from Hamsey's all the time , please be care full and ask the right questions and check these things .
1. check under the mattress on the top of the bed and feel how sturdy it is I had to put ply on top of the bed to stop mattress sag.
2. If your buying an otterman ask how much the rams can lift and when you choose the mattress ask the weight of the mattress
I have purchased two such beds but the rams cant lift or hold the weight of the mattress.
I have been in contact with Hamsey's over this matter but they haven't a clue of weights and power of rams .
All they did was send me a website that sells rams .
This complaint was brought to there attention two days after the purchase and i have asked for a full refund as the bed does not operate as it should but still not talking to me so I told them I would post on trust pilot .

From the start Mike @ the showroom was…

From the start Mike @ the showroom was just Fontastish! In as little as 10 mins he found exactly what we wanted and a two week delivery came through. We pieced it all together today, everything went smoothly, the fixtures were perfect and in little time we put our new super king together! We are tonight’s sleeping well, albeit my wife has further away from my snoring lol!
I must whole heartedly recommend Hamseys 10-10 for service, delivery by two wonderful guys, no fuss, no sweat, these guys deliver and do what they say! Look no further when looking for a new bed, thanks Mike and thank you to all involved! Top bed and I am so grateful :) kind regards Steff n Max - Epsom

Edit .. now nearly 5 months on and still waiting on a bedbase and headboard!

Placed an order on the 7th May order form says 2-4 weeks delivery. I chased the order it it had been nearly 6 weeks to be told Due to an unprecedented increase in orders we are currently experiencing a slight delay in delivery times of 1-2 weeks. Have chased again to be told order will not be arriving until end of August! That’s 16 weeks. I do not understand how they think this is acceptable, it is not. I was happy to wait a few weeks after first delivery date but 16 weeks 4 months is terrible customer service. I will be looking to cancel my entire order of 3 beds!

Beckenham Store Customer Service

I took my 96 year old mum into the Beckenham store a few weeks ago and received outstanding customer service from Andy there. Although he knew we wouldn't be placing an order that day, he went through all the options with my mum with such patience, care and understanding. We have since placed the order through the Beckenham store and my mum is looking forward to receiving her new bed.

Avoid this company - awful experience and very poor customer service

I purchased a £1,370 MLily mattress and bed frame from the Bexleyheath store in November last year.
My partner and I have been experiencing intense lower back and side pains from sleeping on it since the first week. We just cannot have a restful, good night’s sleep without any back-breaking pain.
We thought there was something wrong with the particular mattress and contacted Hamseys to try to resolve the matter. Many months and emails later, we had a mattress inspection, which established there is nothing visibly faulty with the mattress.
Furthermore, Hamseys stated I did not purchase a sleep trial, while their website always seemed to have big yellow banners showing the latest deals available and the sleep trial was always featured on there. 
I chose to purchase our new bed from this company (“support local businesses”) instead of online retailers, I should have known better, I feel absolutely conned now that I don’t seem to have any consumer rights and our concerns about the product are dismissed as “maybe this type of mattress is not for you”.
How would someone know what mattress is suitable without trying it for a reasonable amount of time?
We chose this particular product based on the salesperson’s recommendation in store, and we fell for the fancy marketing blurb of the greatness of the mattress. This mattress is actually causing us physical harm and Hamseys seems to think it should be our loss and they take zero responsibility.
Avoid this company and do not purchase anything from them, awful experience and very poor customer service.

*** Update - 06/08 - it’s been a month since my review and the company still has not emailed me back despite posting on here that they would look into the matter.
Non-existent customer service, just quick appearances here for show.
Please shop elsewhere for good nights’ sleep. ***

Appaling communications and ridiculous waits.

We placed an order for a bed frame on the 8th of April, it is now the 17th of June and the order has been delayed constantly. We have had no communication from Hamseys and have had to make contact to chase our order each and every time. They now claim it will be available at the end of July. The whole things been a joke and some of the worst service I have experienced. Their website still claims it is deliverable within 7days! I will be cancelling my order and taking it somewhere that shows respect to customers.

I ordered a bed and delivery was meant to be 2-4 weeks it's now 5 weeks and the store I brought it from has now closed , I am now sleeping on th floor and still no bed , tried calling other numbers and no answer
