Avoid this company at all costs !
My daughter purchased a used Range rover evoque from thus company in February 2022 and in November 2022 after just 6000 miles of her owning the car the engine needed replacing due to oil escaping into the coolant tank causing the engine to be damaged beyond repair...no oil warning lights appeared on the dash to warn my daughter to stop...We spent nearly 5k on having this put right ....Hamworthy cars were imfomed but wanted nothing to do with it saying we only had a six month warranty although at the time of purchase we were imformed car came with 12 months....conveniently that salesmen no longer works there...We thought this company were a trustworth snd reptable company ..how wrong we were, we are now taking legal advise against ...

The vehicle was not defective at the point of sale back last January (2022). Given the length of time you have been driving it, the 6000 miles that you have driven it for and your admission that you check the oil levels frequently, all shows that on the balance of probability the vehicle was of satisfactory quality and fit for the purpose when it was sold to you. You declined the option of paying for an extended warranty at the time, which may have assisted you had you taken it.
While we are sympathetic that you have had to pay out for a new engine, we do no offer 12 months warranty as standard with any of our vehicles this always a product we offer at point of sale and on collection. your daughter signed the disclaimer declining the extended warranty.
