Hairstory’s New Wash Method changed my hair! I have fine, thin hair and a dry scalp and have always struggled with finding product that worked for me. New Wash and Pre Wash leave my hair soft and give lightweight, bouncy volume. My scalp also is less irritated and red now. I still suffer from dryness but it feels far more manageable than ever before. Can’t wait to try some styling products!

I have extraordinarily dry hair, and it's HARD to find a shampoo that does anything to it. It's like punching a brick wall every time I have a shower and expecting it to shatter. Well, I just found my Super Soldier Serum, and this is it. My dandruff is all but gone, my hair (which is thick to start with) is extra thick and luscious, and I owe it all to New Wash.

After a few days of my hair adjusting, New Wash made my hair feel a lot fuller and healthy, without any grease or heaviness. Had a touchpoint with CX to resolve a question, and they did a great job.

I have fine hair and New Wash makes my hair feel so full and soft. I highlight my hair and the bond makes my hair come back to life!

Hairstory has incredible products (New Wash and Pre-wash have changed my oily hair) and great customer service (so responsive, and offers helpful tips!!) It takes some time to learn how to use the product BUT I never thought I would have a good hair day every day!!

I'm still testing the product. I bought the Pre-Wash and the New Wash. For now my hair is getting extremely greasy by the 3rd day and I'm guessing/hoping its still part of the transition period. I emailed Hairstory almost immediately with questions, specifically about the pre-wash ( as that was recommended for fine hair and transition period ) but still no answer. Can't login into my account either. Not receiving the reset email. I see they do respond here, so thumbs up

Super easy to order from and shipped quickly. Plus I have dermatitis and the prewash and new wash combo really help tame the itchiness. I like that it's more natural than a lot of stuff out there! It did take some getting used to/figuring out on how to use it but so worth the effort.

While I love the product, I cannot get hold of a real person to sort out a problem I am having with my subscription. There is only one way to contact the company, which is via an email form, and that just generates an automated response with doesn't engage with my question at all. I just don't know what else to do.
Update following the response below: I stand by my statement that I received standard emails which didn't take into account the specific question I asked, and that this is a very difficult company to contact or get any resolution from. Probably because they haven't enough actual staff and are relying on Bots and automated responses.
I did eventually get a response from a 'real' person, and my issue was solved.

I cannot say anything bad about the product or the company. The fact that the unclear instructions caused me 2 years back to give up and throw out almost full package of New wash makes me cry. After some time I wanted to try it again and came across Jayne Mathews IG profile. She excellently explains how to use it and it works like a charm! Wish the instructions were more clear - there would be 100% more of the postitive reveiws because the products are amazing (tried original and now testing rich version). My first experience was weighted flat instantly greasy hair and with the correct using it is full, shiny, happy hair. I really does matter how you use this product. The only minus is the price ofc.

Customer services got back to me just now and are sending out another package. I've updated stars accordingly because I'm confident things will be sorted. Huge relief.
I ordered a product last Friday that was supposed to be on a 24 hour tracked delivery. What arrived 2 days late was a tub of tobacco in an opened box.
As I'm not the customer of Royal Mail I can't open a case with them.

Just to iterate, the package was given to me in my hand by the postman already open but bound by an elastic band. When I got indoors it became clear that it had been tampered with.

Awesome product, great customer service, very helpful agents. It took a moment for me to start because I mixed up my addresses (silly me :-) but my hair is sooo healthy now!

I have been using the Original New wash for about a year now and absolutely love it. It takes a bit of time to get used to the lack of froth and foam, but adding a dribble of water onto the scalp while massaging in really helps. Silky, smooth, and tangle free all with just one wash. Gone are the days of two washes. No problems with delivery as I am on a subscription. Taking into account how less often I need to wash my hair, and I now do not need a conditioner, the price seems reasonably fair. I am a genuine customer in my mid 60s with quite a bit of hair and don't think I will ever use anything else again. PS I don't even allow my hairdresser to use any other shampoo on my head!

Abysmal customer service. Order was supposed to take 2-5 days, I’m now being told it will take a month. Stopped replying when I asked to cancel my order.

Just use a different product. This one is not special.

The product itself has always been fine, although I have had to use a conditioner on top as my hair is still left dry so not really the 2 in 1 it claims, and for the price a little bit of a let down (although maybe I just needed to change to a different type)
My big issue has been with customer service. I have emailed their support multiple times now regarding a misplaced delivery and have had no reasonable response from them, or really any response at all.
Completely unacceptable considering the cost of this, IMO.

So frustrating dealing with Hair Story!!!!! Stay away !!!!! I had the worst customer service experience after trying to make an order as a new customer. It took 4 weeks to get a response. They wouldn’t return my emails or respond. I had to return a product. They blamed me and wouldn’t offer any disbursements for my time, 7 emails I had to send to chase up the $140 worth of products I bought before Christmas. It didn’t arrive yet and it’s the 4th Jan , 5 weeks after originally offering. Poor form !!!

I have been locked out of my account since signing up. When I try resetting the password to get in it says that email isn't on file. I then wrote the company directly and they have told me my subscription is cancelled and yet I'm still being charged and I now have three full bottles of a product that doesn't work on my hair. If I want to return them I have to pay. At this point they're just straight up stealing from me. Be very weary before ordering and I personally would never have a subscription with them ever again.

They were happy to collect money from my credicard without notifying me. A package was send to my address but it was never delivered. The package got send back to the company because I was not aware hair story had send anything. Now they refuse to send it again.
So now, I got this reply. But the policy is, after three months, you won't get anything back, no money and no product. Scam

Having to pay a product without receiving anything is criminal.

Addition:
Hairstory want me to take contact with the costumers service, and I did, but they keep telling me that my complained expired. After three months they won't give you any refund or resending the product.
One word. This company is SCAM

My stylist recommended New Wash and I still almost didn't try it because the advertising seemed over-the-top and the product is expensive, especially if you already co-wash and use as few products as possible. But I have no plans to use anything else now. I have curly hair that runs overly dry and it's been healthier looking and feeling for longer and with fewer products using New Wash Rich and Hair Balm than I've experienced with any other products. I use New Wash once a week, and Hair Balm and a little multipurpose oil from another brand (I didn't like Hairstory's oil, too slick for me and didn't combine with my hair well enough) occasionally, not even every day, and that's it. I didn't realize how irritated my scalp was before using New Wash, but I got it after the first time I used the wash. My scalp felt cooler and lighter, similar to how it feels after a major haircut. After about a month of use, my scalp wasn't itchy for longer after wash days than before I started using New Wash, and most impactfully for me a couple spots on my scalp that have been chronically unhappy for years became unnoticeable. So New Wash has been great for my scalp as long as I do the vigorous wash (until my arms are tired!) that the company recommends. My hair could still be more moisturized (it doesn't look dry but still feels a little prickly at the ends of my coarser patches of hair), and while Hair Balm has been almost all I need from a styling product to avoid frizz without making my hair greasy or rigid, it does form some clumps so I use it carefully to avoid making my hair look dandruffy. That aside, this is both the easiest and most successful hair routine I've ever had.

Apparently all the 5 star reviews on the Hairstory site are there on purpose, because there was nowhere for me to write a review. This product made my hair feel like I washed it with actual soap (which I had to do once in the hospital, so I know what it feels like). I am a cowasher and wanted something gentle and this made my hair dry and a tangled mess. you have to pay for them to ship it to you and pay if you want to return it --please don't spend $50 on this. hoping to stop at least one person from throwing money away

Great product, my scalp has never felt better. My hair feels silky and I can just air dry and it looks great!
