Owner is a tyrant and fraudster. He will likely respond with some nonsense about how he's not a tyrant, how he can run the site as he sees fit (which is true, to a degree), and how people are plain wrong in their reviews, but the numbers don't lie. The site is in mad decline. Yes people still post, but many are bots or kids, and the general content is severely lacking, with an abundance of low quality posting, and scams everywhere. The contract system is abused, not always used, and when there are issues, the site owner just insults people, calls them c*nts, and closes their accounts. He clearly has anger issues, and his obsession with Trump and hatred for anyone who questions ANYTHING he has an unhealthy fixation on has cost the site so many high quality members who had good intentions, and far more knowledge than him. His ego is very, very fragile, and he's definitely not as smart as he likes to think he is. This was a good site, many, many years ago, but the quality left along with the members he banned, and now it's tumbleweed city.

Have been a user here for 15 years. Have conducted thousands of transactions here. Great source of knowledge, have met some of my best friends through HF. Has always been an enjoyable place to hangout and I attribute it to where I am in life. Good site.

I have been a member since 2010 officially and was a guest member prior to that. Hackforums is all about education. Sometime education is learning what people don't want you to learn. Great experience!

You get out out HF what you put into it. Like any other community. The owner is actively engaged, and genuinely wants the community to thrive.

Been there since October 17th, 2010, for years I was scared to even post on there, however I grew a pair and ended up talking and making good friends, the site has taught me a lot also.

Joined the forums early 2017 just to lurk and see what was going on but after a short while I joined the conversations. There's a bit of everything there, talks about life, talks about general stuff, market place and you'll learn a fair bit about security too. I'm active there almost daily now, been since day one. As of writing this my online time on the forums is over 3 months.
The admins and mods are active and the same can be said about the community.

browsing hackforums since 2017, Loved the site and spend my most of time on it.

F**king c*nts banned me after reporting a user that might be a potential scammer, and didn't give a reason why.

The website is in rapid decline so the owner, in a desperate attempt to increase monetization, has relaxed several rules that were put in place to reduce risk when using the website.

My account on the forum has maintained good standing for 10+ years. The owner is unwilling to intelligently address concerns of trusted members like me.

This is an online forum where you can discuss various topics. Some users sell services/products in the marketplace section.
There are a few very SMART people who take advantage of other very SMART people, and successfully scam them. Then, those very SMART people come here and leave negative reviews.
Come join a great community, and use common sense. Don’t buy anything from anyone until you understand how everything works.

One of the best forums out there. 8 years and still going strong. Owner cares about it so much and his members. He does his best to combat all the bad people with shady intentions but it is super hard as he is almost a one-man team. It's a huge forum and there is alot to learn, it doesnt have to be anything bad. The name might make you think it's a shady place but its quite the opposite. I LOVE HF

Best forum ever to join to learch all about tech.

I was educated by some of members about removing malware and how to avoid being infected in the first place. Very friendly people, and a staff member personally walked me through some steps, which is not what I was expecting from a forum related to hacking.
