We enjoy taking a walking tour in every new city and this tour was wonderful. Instead of walking around aimlessly, we saw lots of different areas, saw some hidden gems, learned about the lifestyle, lots of information, history and humor. Highly recommend guru walks.

Amusing insights with no sugar coating
Alexander was knowledgeable, entertaining and engaging. He was also nice and loud so everyone could hear. He did not sugarcoat the negative aspects of his hometown but managed to inject plenty of humour. He was rightly proud of the Opera house and the link with Mother Teresa.

Santa Marta, Colombia
I’ve used GuruWalk in several cities world wide and find this a great way to get my bearings and learn about the area, history and people - usually from a local resident. My most recent tour was in Santa Marta, Colombia with Cesar. I was slightly dismayed to be the only person on the tour that day but Cesar put me at ease and was extremely knowledgeable. I especially enjoyed a guided tour of the gold museum and learned loads about the history and culture of the area.

Really enjoyed, not rushed, Eduardo spent a lot of effort and care putting the tour together. Lovely to get an evening tour too. Highly recommend, especially early in your trip to Madeira.

This was the third tour with Guruwalk and unquestionably the best!
This was my third walking tour with Guruwalk and questionably the best. My previous ones were enjoyable and informative, but Michael, today's guide, was energetic, well-informed, and had a good sense of when to stop talking at various points so we could take photos. But, his information was expertly delivered. I learned a great deal about the Arequipa area.
