Our stay at Gunung Paradise was, in one word, special. From the very first moment we felt genuinely welcome by Karien and Jack, two passionate owners who have created this place with heart and soul.

Everything here radiates care, calm and respect — for nature, for the local culture and for the guest. The location, set in the lush and tranquil mountain landscape, is breathtaking and invites you to slow down and truly be present. The accommodation is thoughtfully and tastefully designed: comfortable, harmonious and perfectly in balance with its surroundings.

What truly sets Gunung Paradise apart is the personal involvement of Karien and Jack. They think along with you, generously share their knowledge of the area and do everything they can to make your stay not only pleasant, but also meaningful. Through them, we experienced a spiritual ceremony (palm reading and a cleansing ceremony), a fantastic dolphin tour, and a private family yoga session with Lola from Lola Yoga Lovina. From small, thoughtful details to their sustainable vision and warm hospitality — everything feels just right.

What we personally appreciated enormously was the attention given to healthy, pure food. The meals are prepared with love and care: fresh, nourishing and in harmony with both body and environment.

A stay here is more than just an overnight visit — it is an experience that stays with you. We would return without hesitation.

Gunung was a positive surprise and a little piece of haven on Earth... Def worth a shot. Its a perfect place for a retreat in a group or yourself... it has your own "energetic" vibration... its really hard to bring it with ordinary word instead, I would really recommend a visit and feel the vibe... The location in the middle of a gorgeous valley brings it a peculiar location totally embraced with nature and local peace.
The staff team? ahhh man! no words for all of them... they are locals really doing what balinese people does it better... host anyone that come to them with a unique Balinese smile and inner peace... The BUTLER is a must on your stay... I was really pleased with soooo much care and attention in all details... from the daily planning on WhatsApp to the ornament on each meal with local colourful plants and flowers...

Thanks to Jack and Karien for so much time and effort to bring this piece of heaven to reality and Earth.

Paradise Found! Taking in the sights of rice terraces and hillsides when we, hairpin by hairpin, descended the ridges to arrive at Gunung Paradis Retreat. Beautifully located, overlooking the valley. Green, lush. Peaceful. We spent Ogoh Ogoh and Nyepi with Karien and Jack. They arranged a snorkelling trip to Menjangan Island for us and on the way back we were in the midst of all local Ogoh Ogoh parades. Nyepi was spent, together with the whole of Bali, in reflection, darkness and silence. Pampered by hosts and staff we had a fantastic time from beginning to end. If there was a “Paradise Lost” - by logic, there must be a “Paradise Found”. We think this is it.
Local or western food served by a butler. A pool imbedded in lush greenery. The whole setting gives vibes of Angkor Wat : )
