For decades Guitar Village has been assisting guitar players (from complete beginners to famous household names) find their perfect guitar. We only close 4 days a year* giving customers every opportunity to get down to our shop situated in the South of England 45 minutes from central London. *Since the pandemic, we have been closed on Sundays. Guitar Village houses a plethora of well over 1,000 guitars, amps and effects spread throughout 15 demo in our 15th century listed building - a landmark of the picturesque medieval market town of Farnham, Surrey. There is a special kind of ‘homey ambiance’ that makes for a more relaxed shopping experience. The staff at Guitar Village all play guitar (a necessity to work here unlike some guitar shop salesmen!) and have an extensive in-depth knowledge and ability to guide customers to the right guitar. We also have a full-time tech on hand to help with any issues and set-up requirements. We do everything from brand new to used and vintage guitars so whether you are after the latest innovations and reissues, a reliable workhorse or rare collector's item, we are sure you'll find it here. As a long-established guitar specialist, Guitar Village has built up firm relationships with all the major manufacturers over the decades and are proud to be authorised dealers for Fender, Gibson, Martin, Taylor, Gretsch, PRS, Ibanez, Ernie Ball Music Man, Lowden, National, Faith, Takamine, Rickenbacker, Collings, Guild, Larrivée, Marshall, D'Angelico, Mesa Boogie, AER, Cornell, Vox, Orange, Boss, Jim Dunlop, Roger Mayer, ThorpyFX, Strymon, Electro Harmonix, and many others. A range of 0% and low-interest finance options now help the guitarist find the correct instrument for them without the price tag being an issue by spreading the cost into easily manageable payments. Free next-day shipping to mainland UK is also available on most products bought online for those unable to visit. We sell guitars worldwide through our website but a personal visit to the shop to take all of this in is very much recommended!

Level of online service exceptional

Adam and the team went out of their way to support my online purchase when I required lots of spec info. Really made me feel confident with my purchase and now I’m excited to get playing!

Highly recommended.

Been looking to buy a Taylor GS mini for a while now. Always intended to buy one from an independent guitar shop. Whole experience was very easy and the service was impeccable. I would highly recommend Guitar Village to anyone.

I gave three stars because

I gave three stars as , although im very happy with the product , it was extremely tedious ordering the guitar strap and getting it delivered .
The website was easy enough to find and put in basket what you wanted, a guitar strap in my case . When I tried to checkout I was sent round in a circle several times as I couldn't see anywhere to select delivery method , I got so fed up I phoned and spoke to a very helpful young man who agreed there didn't seem to be anywhere to select delivery on website , he said he'd send it next day delivery but then sadly UPS fell down with that and instead of coming next day it took another three days to eventually be delivered. Thus missing the birthday it was intended for luckily it was for a 36yr old so not a problem .
This seems like a great company but need to sort out their website and delivery

The guitar is stunning and delivery great but my initial call with your sales guy was disappointing.

The guitar is stunning and delivery perfect. Nice and quick. Also well packaged. No issues with that. A little taken back when I first called in to see if you would hold the guitar for me. I was going to drive 75 miles to collect it and trade in my identical Epiphone. However as you were prepared to hold it for me the courier service was great. I walked into the first guitar shop near me and they bought mine in a heart beat for more money than I was expecting. I have bought 3 guitars from you over the years and would have expected a bit more consideration, hence not 5 stars.

Absolutely first class experience

Absolutely first class experience. Guitar is beautiful, was provided photos of the actual guitar on request really quickly , perfectly set up - packaging was safe and fast. I very rarely feel inclined to write reviews - but I’m really happy with this purchase and experience from start to finish.

Guitar Village is an exceptional…

Guitar Village is an exceptional business. Ordered online and was called within minutes to be advised that the guitar would be given a setup prior to shipping and to ask what strings I would like on the instrument. There was no additional charge for the setup or the new strings. To my knowledge no other company selling guitars online does that. I appreciate they would do that on the high end preowned stuff they are selling, but on a relatively budget model Gretsch, I just expected them to send it as was from the factory.
Guitar arrived in the time frame expected (ok, down to the courier rather than GV but still a good experience) and in perfect order. I would buy from GV again in a heartbeat and hope to be able to visit their store one day.

The BEST UK guitar store

I bought a Tele from these guys 2 years ago and put a review on Google. Last week I visited (I'm from the North East so only the 2nd time I'd been) and ended up buying another guitar, again with no intention! Look, it's the greatest guitar shop in the country and as a travelling salesman I've been to a lot! Richard served me this time and just as polite and helpful as Adam was the previous time. Let's put it this way, it's a good job I live 280 miles away otherwise I'd be completely skint!!

The setup that they did is fist class and the next day delivery was superb. Many thanks to Guitar village for a great buying experience. Les Robinson
