Do not waste your money...
Homeppl Guarantid look appealing when they give you a quote for price which is a lot cheaper than other providers, however I have found out why they are cheap as the firm is extremely unprofessional and the attitude from the Guarantor Lead is poor and communicates in a very rude manner.
The form they initially ask you to fill in is simple and then they request more documents at many stages of the application that were never requested at the start. After referencing had passed, I was told that the application was approved and the agreement had sent to the landlord. A day later they decide they suddenly need bank statements (which they never asked for before) and due to another delay this would cause, I asked for a refund and was accused of not providing bank statements (which I did not have access to as i am Paperless). The tone of the emails were extremely blunt and implied I lacked integrity. They told the landlord this aswell which is extremely unprofessional and damaging to my character. The landlord was also surprised that they were making issues in the application after already sending T&Cs for them to sign which proves the incomptence of Evelyn and does not make them look competent at all.

I could have nearly lost this property but thankfully have been able to use another guarantor company which I have previously used before and have had no issues. Like mine and other reviews on here , it is apparent Guarantid may not be fit for purpose. I will try to take this further and try and find out who their regulator is as I am now £60 out of pocket due to an admin fee for requesting cancellation and getting a refund. If you want a professional and efficient process stay away from Homeppl Guarantid or you will pay a price.

Such a terrible experience

Such a terrible experience. I ended up losing £60 pounds as they do not refund the entire amount if your application is not successful. They take the payment first as if everything is sorted and then add a whole lot of requirements. I was provided with several additional requirements that were not in the initial application process. And when I mentioned this, they said that it was mentioned somewhere in the website. Unfortunately I couldn't satisfy the additional requirements which are so unrealistic and unfair.

Not a favorable service for students at all. I would never recommend them to anyone.

Not worth it

I’ve been waiting for my refund for a month now. My advice would be: just don’t use this service at all. I don’t even know if i’ll get my money back. There’s always some kind of excuse when I call. Untrustworthy and definitely not worth it.

Waste of time and money

I wasted so much time with this company. Before applying they asked if I had any CCJs, bankruptcy or insolvency which I don’t. They said they would happily be my guarantor. So I paid them and went through the arduous process of uploading my documents, only to get an email saying they had cancelled my application due to me having an IVA (debt management plan).

I told them that this was not clear when applying and I had been accepted, yet they took my money and cancelled my application.

I can’t fault Joel or Ben as they tried to help me with this, but the company as a whole should have been more transparent. However, it seems as though they were quick to take my money and cause me more stress than anything else.

Rather than offering a smooth service to help me transition into my new home, they have placed a large hurdle in front of me that I am now trying to jump over.

1/10 would not recommend.

Absolutely the worst

Absolutely the worst. I do nit recommend this service at all. After having an unsuccessful application due to the crazy amount of money required which i was not told about in the beginning. Now my emails are getting deleted automatically and they would not like to give a refund of 70£. By the way you cannot contact them without emails. And i will make sure to get my money back

You won’t regret it!…

From the off I have found this company to be brilliant. Found it very easy to apply through the website. From there I paid the quote they gave me and hounded them every day with question upon question for 3 days. They answered every email, phone call and live chat request with politeness and courtesy. Natasha especially made me feel at ease throughout the entire process. There were a couple of hickups. Somehow 2 applications were made for me so they couldn’t see that I had already made payment in full however this was settled rather quickly and with an apology. I applied for them to cover the whole months rent for the property I was applying for but discovered that I couldn’t do this because there was another person signing the tenancy agreement with me (my mistake not the company’s) they cancelled my application at this point but after sorting everything out my side I called them back and spoke to them about only covering my half of the rent. They said they’d chat and call me back which they did within minutes and went ahead with application.
Thanks to this company I will move into my new home on Friday and no longer face the all to real threat of being homeless at the end of next month.

Waiting on part refund from them at the moment but other than this little hickup I honestly could not rate and recommend this company to anyone that is in need of a guarantor enough!

The staff are friendly and polite and make you feel at ease without (sorry for being the itch you couldn’t scratch for a few days)

Special shout outs to Evelyn and Kavi who answered every email and phone call and especially Natasha! You were brilliant and your professionalism and politeness shone through when I just would not leave you alone.

*UPDATE* received my part refund this morning. I only wish I could give this company more stars!

Would recommend

Overrall we are happy with the service from Guarantid and I would recommend it to anyone else who needs a guarantor but who can’t go down the traditional route of asking someone they know.

It was frustrating that we had to use it in the first place although this was nothing to do with Guarantid. I’ve been self employed part time for many years but only fully self-employed since January.

The lettings agent/landlord for some reason didn’t seem able to do a traditional reference by looking at our bank accounts/previous landlord reference. Thankfully Guarantid were able to do this without any problems.

I would have appreciated being able to speak to someone on the phone at Guarantid instead of all of it being done by email/ chat as I was quite worried at one point that we weren’t going to get the flat we wanted and would have appreciated talking to someone verbally.

However it was all reasonably quick and efficient after payment and after providing all of our details. We have signed our tenancy agreement now thankfully!

I would use Guarantid again if we needed to in future.

Well I will say as it stand that so far i am satisfied with the service provided by gurantid. The whole process of getting to let a property is still on hold but i think things are moving in the right direction. I will leave a full review when everything is completed.
