I have been a customer for around 8 years now and use this company regularly in the New York area. My experience near New York has been fabulous. Outside New York where they may use affiliates it has been much less consistent. I have done dozens of rides but one or two excellent customer experiences stick out. They have handled irregularities very admirably. I use other companies near New York but Groundlink is the most reliable and my favourite
I booked a car to pick my mother in law up from EWR to manhatten a ride that usually cost $50-$55. I ordered a pick up from the inside of the airport that was $15 more and because she doesn't speak English I added that. The driver wasn't to be found for more then 15 min.
They end up charging me $100 and change!!
Look at the fine print! You gonna pay for parking, tolls etc...
After a long conversation with a customer service rep and my husband they wanted to give us $8 back for the parking charge.
They are a joke!
Basically I paid $40 more then a regular cab for nothing. Keep your eyes out!
I have used this service to engage car service on my last 4 trips in 4 different cities- some more user friendly than others. Always there and always customer driven. I value that.
So many hidden charges my final bill was almost double what was initially quoted. They even had the audacity to charge a "tip" when service was unacceptable.
