Broken promises and no support – very frustrating experience

Extremely disappointing and frustrating experience.

My song was officially accepted by a playlist curator on Groover, with a clear and explicit promise that it would be added to their playlist. That was the whole point of using the platform. But that promise was simply never fulfilled.

I followed up multiple times, sending 5 emails to the curator over several months. Not a single reply. No explanation. No accountability. It has now been over 6 months since the placement was promised, and nothing has happened.

What makes this even worse is the complete lack of support from Groover itself. I contacted the support team on January 7th with all relevant details, expecting at least a basic response or some kind of help. I never received any reply at all. Not even an acknowledgment.

This is not just disappointing, it feels like being ignored as a paying user. You invest money and trust into the platform, only to end up chasing empty promises with zero support when things go wrong.

If curators can make commitments without following through, and the platform does nothing about it, the entire system loses credibility. I cannot recommend Groover at all.

Groover is really great

Groover is really great. For my first release, I found a playlist that went well with my song, and it had a big effect on it. If you're looking for a way to promote your music, I'd definitely recommend Groover.

Sending lots of love!

Groover is an amazing tool for promotion and Feedback

So far groover has been an amazing tool to get my music out there and get some good feedback. It was my first time using them so i was hesitant but i only spent around $12-$14 total so thought it would be a risk worth taking. By spending that I’ve gone from 7 monthly listeners on Spotify to sitting around 800 right now just from curators sharing to their playlists, sharing with their teams, writing blogs about it. There are some that are harder to get into but even tho they don’t share, they provide constructive critism on ways to improve - I’ve had 3 curators not share and they were honest about my music but said it didn’t fit their playlist genre but offered insights on what to do that would help. I’ll definitely keep using groover!

Perfect! I got fair results on a small budget campaign. I also got a discount from Soundcloud and free Hype.

I had a very frustrating and concerning experience with Groover.

My Grooviz balance was suddenly reduced to 0 after a “system adjustment.” The 6 Grooviz removed from my account were part of my paid balance, not a bonus or error. I provided proof from my own invoices showing that these credits were purchased, yet they were not restored and no clear explanation was given.

From a consumer perspective, removing paid credits without proper justification raises serious legal concerns under EU consumer protection rules.

The service quality was also extremely disappointing. I received multiple generic, copy-paste style feedback messages from different curators that did not feel personal or useful. Several responses were not even in English.

In some cases, curators claimed they would share or publish my track, but this never happened. More than 50 days have passed with no follow-through.

Overall, I paid for a service that did not deliver meaningful feedback, did not fulfill promises, and removed credits from my account without proper resolution.

I cannot recommend this platform.

Reply from Groover

Hi Krisztina,
I'm really sorry about this situation. As explained to you by email, this measure was taken after we had mistakenly credit you with 30 Grooviz, so you actually won credits in the process. I've reached out to you directly to see if we can find a solution here so you can keep on using Groover as you did for the past few years, All the best,
Dorian

This company ripped me off for $140.00.

This company ripped me off for $140.00.
They don't have a live customer service number. They chat with you and pretend they can't understand why your contacting them. They have fake curator list to get you to spend money on fake contacts that will only give you a lame critique on your music as a response. Your music will not get placed on any playlist. You will not receive anything back for the money you spend. Then they tried to get me to join the Groover club to pay $100.00 a month for them to give you training and guidance for your promotion.
Stay away from Groover. It's a waste of your money. -Vuduh Gazzi

From "Brutal King" to a trusted partner: this is how you do support

In the past, I have been very critical (and my 'Brutal King' approach pulled no punches), highlighting technical flaws and inefficiencies in the curation system. However, a service's true quality isn't measured when things go smoothly, but by how it handles dissent.
After a direct exchange, I finally encountered a level of humanity and professionalism that goes beyond cold business logic. They listened to my technical evidence, didn't ignore my feedback, and showed a genuine willingness to improve. For this reason, I am sticking with the platform: when transparency and dialogue are present, collaboration becomes possible. I found real people who stand by their work, which is fundamental for any professional. My perspective has changed: the potential has always been there, but now I’ve finally seen the concrete will to transform it into substance. Now, that is music to my ears!

Real humans, real traction in 18 days

“I pushed an independent release through Groover on 22 March and within 18 days it had 44+ countries listening, 99 % save rate, 30+ playlists and 6 radio spins. What I like most is that every curator reply feels human—lots of detailed feedback, clear ‘yes/no,’ and several editors followed up off-platform. If you have a properly finished track and want honest ears plus real coverage, this platform delivers
