Great price but disgraceful deposit practice
Green Motion provided a great car at a great price, with friendly staff but the practice of demanding an outrageously high deposit and not releasing it for a MONTH is truly appalling. I have effectively lost my credit card for an entire month - my available credit limit is £1,500, the amount I had to provide to Green Motion. EVERY other rental company has required a deposit of £200, refunded 3 days after the return. Every other company! It was hard for me to provide the £1,500 in the first place, as I had to transfer funds into my credit card. So if you are thinking of renting from Green Motion, look beyond the cheap rates and consider the inconvenience of this predatory practice. Can you afford to be without a credit card for a month?
