Please be careful with GreenGeeks.
I joined them because their prices were great at the time. However, when it came time for renewal, I had a terrible experience. My renewal date was December 1, and I tried to cancel on November 29 — but they told me that cancellations must be made one month in advance. That policy makes no sense.
As a result, they automatically renewed my subscription for three years and charged me over $600. When I asked them to cancel or refund, they refused, saying their policy didn’t allow it. It honestly felt like being tricked into a long-term subscription.
In today’s world, when most companies are flexible and customer-friendly, it’s shocking to see a company operate this way. Almost every other provider allows cancellations up to a day before renewal, but GreenGeeks traps you with this unreasonable one-month rule.
So please stay away from them — you’ll just end up frustrated and stuck, like I did.

I have been hosting multiple sites with GreenGeeks for years now and I could not be more thrilled. I am a solo business owner with just enough tech ability and overconfidence to be dangerous. They have been great at helping me navigate everything from the basics of setting up multiple sites, to the more complicated of getting infected with malware. I’ve been using GreenGeeks’ Shared Server for the last 2 years. Overall, it’s been a pleasant experience (compared to my previous hosting provider). There’s been little to no downtime with my server, customer support is excellent and the prices are reasonable. I have a specific need for inode usage and GreenGeeks had some of the higher available Inodes on a shared server than other hosting companies I researched. I just wish they had a higher tiered shared server plan for even more Inode availability. But, that is a minor issue as I will likely be upgrading to their VPS solution once my Inode availability is maxed out.
In conclusion, I have been extremely happy with GreenGeeks and would highly recommend them to other people who are dissatisfied with their current hosting provider.
