Highly recommended

Green Flame London exceeded all my expectations! From start to finish, the service was professional, efficient, and friendly. The team was punctual, explained everything clearly, and completed the job to a very high standard.

I had a boiler installation done, and the entire process was smooth and stress-free. They kept everything clean and tidy, and the results speak for themselves — everything works perfectly. It’s clear they really care about quality and customer satisfaction.

Highly recommended for anyone in need of reliable heating or plumbing services in London. I’ll definitely be using them again!

aroTHERM plus heat pump 12kW install

After some planning and some discussions with GFL about latest governement opportunities, I have finally decided to choose and install the German air to water heat pump from Vaillant, to take advantage of UK governement £7500 grant.

Install was like plug and play with solar integration, therefore I should start experiencing all benefits and savings it comes with this year.

I am so excited that I got rid off gas combi boiler and will reduce my household carbon footprint.

I would like to thank GFL team for quick and trouble free heat pump installation and commissioning. GFL team delivered this job on time and on cost as agreed.

I would like to recommend GFL for your heat pump install and maintenance.

I service my boiler every year with GFL…

I service my boiler every year with GFL and I call for help when I have a problem with heating or hot water, I always receive warm words from the lady in the office and quick help, the engineers are very good at diagnosing my Ideal boiler and repair the fault quickly. I value GFL for its professionalism and effectiveness. I highly recommend Green Flame London

Horrible

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience with Green Flame. They did a few things in our flat and one of them was to fix the central heating. The problem with the heating was that it would occasionally turn on without demand when the boiler would heat the water. They sent an engineer for a quote and I told him that when the boiler starts heating the water then the heating turns on as well, but there’s no rule to it so sometimes the heating would turn on every second day and sometimes once in two weeks or so. The engineer said that the problem is a 3 way valve so he would replace it with a new one and the heating would work as it should. He never asked me to turn the water on in order to check if the heating goes on as well. He simply replaced the 3 way valve and a few weeks later the heating went on again when the boiler started heating water so I emailed Green Flame and they sent another engineer. He asked me to turn the water on to see if the heating would start as well so I did, but the heating didn’t start, which wasn’t a surprise to me because it didn’t go on every time with water, but only sometimes and I was very clear about this from the beginning. Unfortunately, the engineer didn’t seem to understand the difference between EVERY TIME and OCCASIONALLY. He said that because the heating didn’t turn on this means that everything works fine, but he replaced the valve anyway. I emailed Green Flame asking why this time their engineer needs a proof that the heating goes on without demand while the first engineer didn’t need that proof, but my question was never answered and my email was simply ignored. I couldn’t even make a complaint to Green Flame as one can only contact them by phone (stationary and mobile) or email and all of these contacts are managed by Mr Marcin who simply ignores you and doesn’t answer. Anyway, a few weeks later the heating went on again so I contacted Green Flame one more time and they sent the same engineer who still didn’t understand the difference between EVERY TIME and OCCASIONALLY. He was using jargon when talking to my partner and he was so annoying that she didn’t really want to listen to him so she wasn’t sure what he did with the heating. So after his visit I emailed Green Flame and asked what he did exactly this time, but again I never got an answer.
Instead, I received an “official response” in attachment to the email saying that Green Flame did everything they could, there maybe other reasons why the heating doesn't work as it should and they will not send their engineer again.
So, in a nutshell: I asked Green Flame to fix my central heating. They said they would replace the 3 way valve and the heating would work and they never mentioned that the valve maybe one of the reasons why the heating turns on without demand. I paid them for repair and now after 2 warranty visits the heating still doesn’t work, they sent me an official response saying that they will not send their engineer again which basically means they will not honour the warranty they gave me.
I definitely do not recommend this company.

Let me add a few comments to your feedback
1. You sent me an official letter and then I sent you 2 emails which you never answered.
2. You performed 2 warranty visits and they were free of charge because they were warranty visits which means they are free of charge so you didn't do me a favour not charging me for them. It was your legal obligation.
3. I can't remember that before the first warranty visit you explained to me that the problem with the valve is the scale deposited inside. I'm not saying you didn't say that, I'm just saying I can't remember, but it's not important. What's important is that on the very first visit when your engineer came for the quote and I told him about the heating he said the problem was the valve and after replacing it the heating was going to work fine. Then he replaced it, I paid for it and the heating still doesn't work. So Green Flame replaced the valve in order to fix my central heating, charged me for it, but the heating still doesn't work. It's as simple as that. Now, after 2 warranty visits which still didn't solve the problem Green Flame sent me an official letter saying that it will not honour the warranty.
4.Your engineer might have told you that he performed check for 2 hours, but he did not. The firs time he came when I was in he was at our place for about 30 minutes. He asked me to turn the water on to check if the heating would turn on too, but it didn't so he said everything seems to be working fine so I told him I would contact the office and I sent you an email on 27.03.23. His second visit lasted even less than 30 min so both of his visits amounted to about 1 hour. And I still don't know what he did as Mr Marcin did't bother to answer my emails.
5. My installation may be old etc., but you should have told me this at the very beginning.

Dear Customer,
With response to your feedback, we have sent you an official correspondence on 08/06/2023 at 12:35 pm, explaining why your central heating system keeps on turning on. We have performed two warranty visits - free of charge. On the first warranty visit we replaced the valve to ensure it works well, and it closes correctly and tightly. Before our visit we explained that the problem with the valve is the scale deposited inside which partially blocks it and may cause intermittent leaks activation of heating during the water heating. On our second warranty visit, our engineer performed check for two hours and not once did the heating turned on. Since the problem did not show up while our engineer was there, we suggested installing the automatic bypass, which would solve the problem.
The third visit would have to be a paid visit. We explained also that your installation is quite old and that the furnace installer made mistake not installing an automatic bypass, which potentially caused an increase in pressure leading to the occasional opening of the valve.
We also explained in our formal letter to you that another cause for
starting of heating may be a malfunctioning thermostat. We recommended checking it when the heating is turned on. Since you did not follow our steps and did not agree to the third visit to install an automativ bypass, where the problem with the central heating switching on did not appear while our engineer was checking the system for two hours, we can assure that we did everything to solve an ongoing issue on the two of our warranty visits, however, the final decision not follow our suggestion was purely and merely your decision.

New boiler
I have been with GFL for few years even more and from day 1 the service has been fantastic. The team are very helpful and friendly. Special thx to the receptionist Sylwia who organised my new boiler to be fitted in a time perfect for myself and family. Also a special thx to the fitter Alex who and his colleague did a great job they were friendly and professional. Thank you to all the GFL team 🤩

criminal attitude

Stay away from these people. I bought a new boiler including installation. They were proud to offer a 7yr warranty on the product. After 2 years it was faulty, I called them and they said that my warranty had expired, because I had not done any servicing to the boiler (they had never mentioned this before, or activated any warranty). They charged me 400£ to change a component (cost 30£) and do a servicing. I accepted because I was desperate, with a small baby in a cold house in the middle of the first covid lockdown. They took my warranty documents saying they needed updating, and they would send them in the post (guess what: after begging them for 3 years, I still have not received these documents). 1 year later, another fault, with error code hinting "faulty pressure sensor". They came and said that I had no warranty, that mine was for 2 years only and had expired long before. They say a pump and sensors needs replacing (no mention of the servicing this time..), total £390. I wrote a bad review in Trustpilot, letting people know what was going on. Within 24h they got back to me, saying that maybe they don't have to change all these components, and they can just repair my boiler for free, out of good will rather than warranty. A guy comes over, pretends to turn a few screws, in 10 minutes everything is working fine. I still don't have any warranty documents or documentation. They repeatedly write to me begging to remove my bad review from Trustpilot. When asked about warranty/documents, they don't respond. So, if you don't want to be treated as an idiot by a bunch of improvised tradesmen, stay away from greenflame. Spend 2-300£ more on purchase/installation costs, and save thousands in the following years by going with a reputable company. In my next review, coming soon, I will describe the mess they made in my flat when installing the boiler.

I have used GFL for a number of years…

I have used GFL for a number of years now and will continue to use them. Very efficient, organised, professional and pleasant to deal with, both office staff and engineers. In this day and age it is difficult to give such a great review and frankly I am glad I can do so with GFL.

Avoid!! CON

Avoid!!
I have requested for LPG engineer to attend to my boat via the office. I was told by the lady Magda that she will call me and confirm dates. No dates were confirmed and agreed she sent her operative randomly to my boat lucky friend of mine was on my boat. He told the operative that the owner of the boat is not here and we wasn’t aware of him attending. He walked away I called up the office and asked why she hasn’t called me back as promised to arrange date and time I am still waiting for answer. However saying that I have been receiving numerous emails with some invoice I need to pay??? This company has not carried out any works. WATCH OUT PLEASE something doesn’t seem right with this company. Imagine if they undertook any works they will demand mega amounts.

Excellent, fast service

Last Saturday morning, we had no hot water and the boiler would not switch on. Greenflame were able to get an engineer out that morning. He quickly diagnosed a blown PCB but explained that there may be an underlying issue which had caused this. Given age of boiler we decided that getting a new one made sense. Greenflame gave a very competitive price and installed it on the following Wednesday. The work was carried out quickly, efficiently and with no mess. Very happy with the service.

I have used Greenflame for annual…

I have used Greenflame for annual central heating services and emergency issues. Agata in the office is brilliant at understanding what I need and especially in emergencies has organised prompt and excellent service from the engineers.

I had a heating problem on a Monday…

I had a heating problem on a Monday morning and they were able to get an engineer out before lunch time with a pump and sensor replaced that day. I use GFL whenever i have a plumbing problem and i find that their engineers are very competent and always sort the problem.
