The first day of the train journey was affected by the smoke from fires burning in the Rockies. The views were fantastic, and the train staff were superb, beyond expectations. The Fairmont hotels we stayed at could have had better/larger rooms for the price we paid. Sandman at Kamloops should be removed in the future - such a terrible place.
