The title of our tour was “Explore Yorkshire by Rail”, we spent the majority of our time on a coach! Not the best considering our expectations

I enjoyed this holiday. The hotel in Harrogate was rather 'corporate' ( right next to the Conference Centre), but it was clean and comfortable and the food was lovely- Yorkshire specialities , and generous portions . It was also central to Harrogate, and walking distance from the station. Our Guide, Charles , was good company, and did well at short notice. But the real star of the trip was Paul our coach driver come guide. He was a true Yorkshire man, very proud and knowledgeable about 'God's Own Country' as well as an excellent driver. The trip over to Whitby and the journey on the Keighley and Worth railway also good, though too short, perhaps a trip to the end of the line then back to Haworth would have been better. We enjoyed having a free day. We went over to York. This trip was very good value for money, and I would recommend it to friends.

Very good on all parts of the holiday, good hotel very good on the excursions and information on the areas we visited,very good value,will definitely book again.

Well organised and very enjoyable. Learned a lot about part of the country that we were not familiar with. Lovely spacious room in our hotel and good breakfasts unfortunately the evening meals were very disappointing.

A good short break, but one of the coach journeys to Whitby was quite long. Enjoyed the free day in Ripon, going by emission-free bus

Very good pace . Paul our bus driver had fabulous local knowledge . Only thing to improve, carriage allocation on NYMR railway. Our carriage right at front and we did not see stations enough. No chance even for a quick photo of these special landmarks.

Great holiday. Excursions were super. Extra day would have been really nice as there is so much to see.
A busy trip with a very good Tour Manager and nice hotel.

Interesting trip to Yorkshire
Lovely break from start to finish.
Excellent value and well organised tour
Great hotel though totally cashless which i did not know. Food was good tour guide excellent. Train was overcrowde on way to harrogate but bioked seats for return which was also crowdef.
Just right from the hotel, our guide and the pace of the holiday. No pressure, no rush but clear and well organised....
Excellent Tour manager. Hotel was great. First time I've seen the Yorkshire Moors, fabulous views. Coach driver very witty and enthusiastic about his home county. I shall be booking 2 more trips with Great Rail for next year. Many thanks.
