Scott Merrington from the Wakefield…

Scott Merrington from the Wakefield Branch fitted our kitchen worktops on 4th October 2021. I have never met any workman who is as diligent and proud of his work than Scott was. He was meticulous in setting out the project, executing it and clearing up afterwards. He was happy to outline his approach to the job at every stage. This person must be an asset to this firm based in Wakefield.

I left a review on Trust Pilot weeks…

I left a review on Trust Pilot weeks ago explaining that I had found small holes in the surface of the worktop. I was promised a response from Granite Solutions but still haven't heard anything. Not impressed. I see that other customers have also reported small holes on the surface. My work was carried out through the Tunbridge Wells branch Reference no 5492. Please respond.

Went downhill

Initial visit went well, but failure of the Bristol office to reply to queries meant I went elsewhere, especially after reading about the lack of aftersales service. If they aren’t responsive to sales enquiries then there’s little hope of good after sales service!

Shame about the after-service

The overall process was generally well executed;
- The initial visit to discuss options, timings and price.
- The secondary survey visit to capture specification requirements.
- The installation, only marred by a fitting that had been built to the wrong size. This was overcome on the day by quick thinking and action resulting in a minor compromise to the finish that I agreed to.

The day after the installation I noticed a small, but obvious yellow smear on our white work surface. This looks like a curry stain, and had not been noticed at the time of completion. My initial reaction was to check that this was a product quality imperfection and not a problem with the “non-porous” product.

I contacted the Cheltenham office, and was informed that my issue would be relayed to a technician, who would call me to discuss (I also e-mailed a photo). No-one called me back, so I made a follow up call and sent another email. Still, no one called me. I then went to the local showroom at Congresbury and relayed my issue to the sales-person on site, she also said that she would pass on the details. Five weeks after the installation and still no contact!

The reason for a lower score is primarily due to the non-existent after sales service that I would have expected for such a high ticket product. My expectations have not been met - something that could have been easily avoided by someone at Granite Transformations taking just 5 minutes to contact me.

Excellent product, excellent service, on time, on budget

Excellent product, excellent service, on time, on budget, would highly recommend. Especially useful if you want to update your kitchen but don't want to rip everything out as the worktop fits over your existing worktop seamlessly. Peter and Helen at the Cambridge office (serving London) also are helpful in recommending good value kitchen appliances, taps etc and Alex is an expert, thoughtful and tidy technician.
