GPS Insight, formerly Rhino Fleet Tracking, has been reliably providing fleet tracking for our school district for over three years. The depth and breadth of their services are very impressive, and navigating the site is very user friendly. The few times I have had to contact them with a question, I always get a knowledgeable, friendly and efficient technician who answers my questions quickly and effectively. We are located in a very remote, mountainous area in NW Colorado, yet we have always been able to monitor our school buses, even in severe snow storms. I highly recommend GPS Insight!

3/24/2025 Update:
GPS Insight's original response never went anywhere as they never resolved any issue. We still never received the video of the crash we needed for legal reasons. I had a second incident that I will share below.
Since February 13, 2025, we have been actively trying to retrieve video footage from a vehicle involved in an accident. Despite providing all necessary details and taking the suggested steps, we still have not received the footage—and support from GPS Insight has been minimal and ineffective.
Our Des Moines Service Manager, Keith Johnson, has reached out at least six times over the span of more than five weeks with little to no meaningful response or progress.
Initial troubleshooting steps were completed, including running the vehicle, confirming device operation, and providing exact timestamps of the accident.
GPS Insight support has repeatedly blamed factors like poor LTE coverage, file size, or run time, yet has failed to offer a clear resolution or escalate the issue effectively.
As of March 24, 2025, we’ve received no follow-up in over a month despite multiple inquiries.
Most concerning, this is the second time we've encountered this same issue. In the previous instance, the footage was never retrieved, and we were sued with no video evidence to support our side. The fact that GPS Insight’s service fails during the moments we need it most makes the platform unreliable and unusable for its intended purpose.
We’ve lost confidence in GPS Insight’s ability to support our fleet when it matters—and that’s a serious concern for our business.

We have been using GPS Insight for monitoring our fleet's driving scores, which are crucial for our bonus structure. While the GPS telematics feature itself is satisfactory, we have encountered severe shortcomings with their support, communication, and camera systems that need addressing.
Issues Faced:
Camera Functionality: We experienced persistent issues with 5 of our cameras, which were critical for our operational needs. Despite multiple attempts to resolve these problems, it took over seven months for GPS Insight to respond, which is unacceptable in a business-critical environment.
Support and Communication: The support from GPS Insight was considerably lacking. During incidents that required immediate attention, the delay in communication compounded our problems, notably during an accident that was poorly documented by the camera system, resulting in a legal setback for our company.
Financial Impact: The resolution offered by GPS Insight was not proportional to the scale of inconvenience and financial strain their system failures caused. An offer to slightly reduce our agreement value felt insufficient against the backdrop of the issues faced.
Comparison to Other Services:
We recently signed with Samsara for our newest 12 vehicles. Their offering is not only 50% less expensive but also comes with a more manageable one-year commitment, highlighting a stark contrast in value and customer service.
Conclusion:
As a small business owner, my experience with GPS Insight has been profoundly disappointing. The lack of accountability and inadequate support have made it difficult to rely on their services for critical aspects of our operations. Moving forward, we hope to see improvements in their service delivery and customer care.

We just had our vehicles installed with GPS Asset Tracking by GPS Insight. It seems there are a number of providers for this service (I reached out to 3 or 4), but very happy we went with GPS Insight. The value for the investment is incredible. There have been multiple contacts for questions through the sales process, post-sales and pre-install, and now post-install. Any of our questions have ALWAYS been answered extremely quickly - whether by phone or email. I'm actually blown away by the level of support we've gotten. We needed to delay our install date (our own fault) and GPS Insight was extremely flexible on the install date. So far, this has been an incredible experience. Highly recommended.
App was terrible, support was terrible. Once my 3G unit was out of date I tried on multiple occasions to get the updated 4G unit. Never got it. Couldn't get anyone to answer my calls or emails, so I tried to cancel my account. This took multiple attempts until I finally got a confirmation email that my account was cancelled. Company continued to bill me for another 5 months all while I was trying to contact accounting. I had to dispute the charges every month with my credit card company and finally just put a stop payment to where they can't bill me anymore.
We've been using GPSI-Insight devices for our fleet of 3000+ vehicles for the past three years. I must say, Antonio Fernandez and Jason Brummet have been instrumental in ensuring that everything runs smoothly. They've been very proactive in conducting device health reviews and have always been responsive to any questions we've had. It's been great working with them both. I look forward to many more years working together.
