Cheaply made products and zero support

I bought a rotary phone (mod 746) from Amazon about three years ago and now the ring bell got broken. I sent two emails to gporetro in order to ask them to sell me a new part to replace the broken one but they never responded to me. I wanted to buy a turntable always by Gporetro, but knowing the level of the support in case of problems I won’t

I can always change my review if they solve my problem

1 star is perhaps a bit much for this company. Poor products and customer support.

If you are perhaps thinking of purchasing something from GPO Retro and are looking to gauge the product quality and aftercare, all I can say to you should avoid this company like the plague.

GPO products only feature a 12 month warranty - possibly because they are likely only engineered to last a little longer than this. To give some context, we bought a relatively expensive Turntable from GPO Retro and within 18 months it has now started to randomly switch itself off, sometimes for hours on end. The company have been of absolutely no help whatsoever. No sympathy, apologies or attempts to replace the turntable.

So in summary, if you are looking at a GPO and thinking about ignoring the 1 year warranty because products these days don't go wrong as much, think again. I would advise you to perhaps spend a little more on an established quality brand instead of buying anything from GPO. You'll only be buying the other brand in a few months time when your GPO goes wrong anyway...
