I sent my 3 textbooks to GoTextbooks, and received a confirmation of processed in January. But, it is April now, and I still have not received the check.

They are liars and scammers. I sent in a brand new nursing book I even took pictures in case they tried to pull this on me. Almost two weeks later they send me an email stating that my book has water damage! The book was brand new. DO NOT SEND YOUR BOOKS HERE.

Sent a near perfect book (no writing, a few wrinkled pages.) Chose "used" for the condition because of the wrinkled pages when getting a quote. Was quoted $25+. Got an email saying they received it and I would be getting $0. No mention of them sending it back or why it was rejected. Sent an email to customer service but I have little hope. PROBABLY A SCAM.
Update: I immediately filed a report with BBB which I suspect is the only reason they got back to me. Have emailed me pictures of my book (although I already knew the damage it had- that's why I chose "used" as the category when the process started). Have promised to ship it back to me at their expense. Will be waiting.
Apparently unless your book is PERFECT, no matter what condition category you choose, they will "reject" it, give you $0, then keep it and resell it anyway. Beware.
Update: Shipped it back to me FILTHY and with a 3 x 8 inch label on it that I can't remove without damaging. Therefore basically eliminating any chance I have of reselling. Bull***t company.

They quoted me $50 for a $177 Earth Science textbook in perfect condition. I was finished with it so I sent it in and while I was awaiting a payment confirmation e-mail I was surprised when I opened their email and learned they were now giving me nothing, no explanation. After many email exchanges, and photos of "water-damage" that I can't even discern, nor did it exist when I sent them the book, I requested the book back and now, all of the sudden, they offer me $15!!! If that's not suspicious enough, their customer support person, Melissa, extremely unprofessionally engages me in a petty, back-and-forth e-mail argument that's gone on for the better part of a month until finally I just ended up just blocking them and filing a complaint with the BBB. I sent them a postage-paid self addressed package but still haven't received my book nor a check. This is quite literally a racket and I'm considering consulting an attorney. I know I can't be the only one they've done this to.

I sent in two books two weeks ago in PRISTINE condition. Both were basically brand new, never been marked or highlighted in. The cheaper book was “accepted” but the more expensive one was “rejected” with no explanation. I sent an email awaiting an explanation as to why the rejected the more expensive book and now won’t return it. They will keep your expensive books and RESELL THEM giving you NOTHING. College kids pay enough for books as it is and then a company through Chegg gets to not pay you for them and then just gets to keep them to resell? Will be filing through the BBB.

Customer service experience was great! Couldn’t ask for better!
I sold an old textbook through to recover some money after the last semester and received my payment through paypal. I didn't have to contact customer service, but everything went without issue.
I had really searched long and hard to see who I could find that would give me the largest amount for my textbooks and go textbooks came up and offered me more than any of the other companies did. So, I sent them a book in, and they received it on the 12th. I had a question for customer service so I emailed them and I got a response back the very next morning. I was expecting this to take a little bit longer because it does state on the website their process, and how long that it may take to get paid. Well today is the 19th and what they quoted me for the book hit my PayPal account today. I did not expect it to be such a quick process, but it was. I had an overall great experience with go textbooks and when I have any more of my books to sell, this will be where they go! (Providing they will purchase them).
While experiencing an inconvenience with my return, I received prompt feedback from the employees as well as fantastic customer service to make sure I was compensated. I appreciate it!

They take a lot of time to confirm reception of the books, however, first check I received was fine, but one book they kept and I have never received any money for it, Melissa from customer support has been very helpful though, she helped me find another textbook lost and said she'll be sending the check now.
Scammers!! Send them books in PERFECT condition, they lie and claim 'rejected.' If you get scammed by them, be sure to file a BBB complaint as well as a consumer complaint with the Arkansas State Attorney General's office.

My book got lost by UPS and gotextbooks handled the claim and paid me the amount they had quoted. The matter was taken care of in less than 24 hours.
As many have said, they quote you a high amount (for something you noted as being a USED book) and then once sent in they’re “rejected” for BEING USED and you can’t do anything about it since it costs money to get your books back. Scamming college kids who are just trying to make 1/5 of the $ back they spent on textbooks is pretty messed up to me. Will never use again.
