Myself and my Partner have just completed the purchase of our first home with the incredible support of Gorvins Residential LLP. We were lucky to be blessed with the support, knowledge and kindness of Ahmed Bashir.

Ahmed excelled in every moment of the process and kept us thoroughly updated through out. Ahmed always answered emails within a matter of hours and was always on hand for a call to answer any question (no matter how silly). He completed every step of the process with incredible professionalism and knowledge whilst also ensuring it was done on a quick turnaround so we were never left waiting or unsure.

I would recommend Gorvins, and specifically Ahmed, to absolutely anyone buying their first home. When the time comes for us to move i will try my hardest to have Ahmed's support again.

Although our home buying process wasn’t completely smooth due to some last minute changes and communication delays, Mesmine Leussom, was great. She took over our file at short notice and handled everything incredibly well. She was responsive, approachable, and supportive throughout, and her professionalism helped us navigate the final steps with confidence and ease.

We also found Gorvins’ app very useful, it made uploading documents and keeping track of progress much easier. It was also reassuring that we could reach someone by phone when needed, and overall the service was great.

Recently closed on a house with Gorvins. We worked with Lesmae Fabella. She was very professional but also very friendly. She was happy to dumb down the language if you will so I could understand it. Often solicitors speak in terms I don’t understand. She always replied to emails and calls in a respectful manner and in good time. She was always on top of things and never made us feel like we were asking too much. Every issue that arose she had a solution to before we could even ask. Thanks so much Lesmae!

We had multiple case handlers which was completely fine ( apart from one who covered whilst our normal one was on holiday, really poor communication from that person)

However, we know everything would be back on track once Emily returned. Emily our main case handler was nothing short of fantastic! Her communication was amazing, she literally took so much stress away from this process. Emily was very responsive, always took our call and was just a pleasure to have as our case handler. Importantly which is what you want Emily responded very quickly to every step, gave great timescales of which she kept to.

The applications to complete were very straight forward

I’m currently in the process of using Gorvins Residential for the purchase of a property without any chain following referral by my financial advisor and mortgage broker.

Despite multiple messages in the app to my case handler over the last few weeks AND an official email of complaint a week ago, I am still yet to receive ANY communication or progress update from my case handler.

I cannot put into words how utterly appalling I find this level of service and standard of communication.

If you are looking for a solicitor to handle your property purchase, based upon my personal experience, I would advise AVOIDING Gorvins Residential at all costs.

Utterly unacceptable service.

We used Gorvins for a remortgage after they were recommended by our mortgage brokers. The process should have been straightforward, but instead it became stressful and anxiety‑inducing. We would not recommend them.

Several issues left us feeling uneasy. They claimed not to have received ID documents that were clearly included in the message thread, and their replies were formulaic, generic, and often failed to address the questions we had asked. Although we were told that a staff member named Ria Statham was managing our remortgage, we were passed between multiple people with little clarity or explanation at key moments. At times the responses were so templated that we genuinely wondered whether they were automated. This concern only grew when the figure provided by Ria for our redemption amount turned out not even to be close to an up‑to‑date calculation.

Thank goodness for our mortgage brokers, who were efficient, communicative, and trustworthy—the complete opposite of our experience with Gorvins. They stepped in, communicating to us what was happening and what was required.

We would strongly advise avoiding this company. They made a simple remortgage unnecessarily stressful, and we dread to think what the experience would have been like had they been involved in a purchase.

My conveyancing experience with Gorvins was excellent and the entire process was smooth from start to finish. A special thanks to Emily Kourpas, who handled my case professionally and kept me informed at every stage. She was approachable, easy to work with, and always available to provide the support and guidance needed.
