80 Days without a camera and no refund!! SHOCKING Customer experience

Case number: 16018157 (closed by Go Pro but not resolved)
I purchased a GoPro Max 2 on 23 October 2025 within a few weeks, the camera stopped working. I returned the device on 27 November, expecting a straightforward replacement process. Unfortunately, what followed has been an absolute shambles and seeing the reviews I am not the only one! I purchased the camera 110 days ago and have now been without it for 80 day! Impossible to get in acknowledgement or response from customer services and i'm in total limbo now having to take them to court. Toxic brand avoid at all costs!

Support People Lied stold $105.00

I bought gopro 8 over 2 years ago and I activated the free 30 day trial when I got home. I thought the camera was great but I didn't really need it so I cancelled the same day I got the trial. I find out 2.5 years later they charged me 52.99 on two different occasions unauthorized. I had phone number I found for support left message after message and no return
I tried emailing them.ans no luck getting a response. My credit card company gave me different email so I went through process and Jon got back to me saying help.isnon the way..he told me would not be problem he would research it and credit the charges back. The next day credit card company got nothing I emailed him back he said I would need to go through my bank to get money back to limitations they have. Never again will I buy from dishonest company like Gopro. I turned the camera on once that is it. $105.00 stolen by crooked company.

Scammed: Received a GoPro Hero 5 instead of 13

I purchased from Walmart on 1/27/26 a sealed GoPro 13 box (with the pullcord at the bottom still intact). When I came home and opened it, it had stickers on, and when I removed the stickers it was a Hero 5. I did not even realize it until I had trouble following the instructions as nothing was matching and then I realized that the battery didn't even match.

I reached out to GoPro and they refused to do anything about it blaming Walmart who in turn is blaming GoPro. No one is taking accountability.

I have had a gopro cloud for 3 years…

I have had a gopro cloud for 3 years now and to be honest i don't use it very often ,I'm just using it as a storage. Just came back from skintrop and wanted to watch some videos on my 4k lg smart TV but I was unable to cast the videos from.hopro quick onto the TV. There is no special app for the LG tv either and when I tried to cast it from the browser there is no image as my chromecast is only 2k the TV itself is 4k but there is no option to cast it straight on the TV. This is definitely my last year of subscription as whats the point of having all of those videos stored if you cannot watch it on the TV. They more than happy to charge users for subscription but clearly do not give dam about making the app user friendly.

Disappointed with GoPro Support Despite Subscription

I’m very disappointed with my experience with GoPro. I have an active GoPro subscription, yet the customer support has been extremely slow and unhelpful.
My GoPro Hero 11 Mini stopped working suddenly and will not switch on at all. This happened in less than one year of use, which is unacceptable for a premium action camera. I tried all basic troubleshooting steps, but nothing worked.
What’s worse is the slow response from GoPro support, even though the subscription is supposed to offer priority assistance. The process has been frustrating and time-consuming, with no quick resolution so far.
I expected much better product reliability and customer service from a brand like GoPro. Sadly, this experience has made me lose confidence in both the product quality and the support system.

Customer service sucks

You can’t call them. You have to waste hours of YOUR time chasing emails with them and their “improved streamlined process” which ultimately translates to profits over service. I bought a premium subscription for my brand new hero 13 and the subscription disappeared from my account. My cloud backups of my videos snd photos are gone. I’m not blaming the agents, but the corporate policy of no phone calls. I HATE MY GOPRO NOW! Forget about getting help.

Go Pro Customer Service shambles

I returned an item to go pro ( hero 13 widescreen edition) this was dropped off at UPS access point , UPS then lost my parcel , I contacted go pro who after a few emails told me they’d initiate an investigation with UPS. This did not happen & GoPro decided to stop communicating with me. I couldn’t speak to them unless I opened alternatives cases , tried this numerous times, eventually I had to contact UPS to start the investigation myself. I then won my claim & GoPro were subsequently paid out on the 25th November ( support case 15908413) from then on go pro have kept that money & not refunded me, they have my original money for the unit and the claim refund money which belongs to me, they are uncontactable no one returns emails & phone numbers don’t work. I then went to social media Facebook and twitter , someone responded on twitter & I received an email from someone who had no clue what was going on, I educated them in a reply & have had no reply in 9 days now. Absolutely incompetent customer service & company , stay well clear of these.

Worst customer service

Ordered a Hero13 and accessories December 11th, was due to be delivered the next day but was lost by UPS. A month later and now GoPro are ignoring my emails, but haven’t refunded my money and won’t let me know if they will send a replacement. Absolutely awful customer service from what I considered to be a reputable company.

Well I'll start off saying that most action cameras either have one or two main functions and almost all don't have MODs for the effects. Where GOPRO sold me for life, is the application Quick start was just that from the second I
signed up for my subscription,I found myself creating Trips adventures to use mine, I bought the Hero 12 max Black editor package, I have had 1 through 8 in the series of GoPro, I use them on my Harley rides on long cross country trips in all of harsh terrains and these Life Camera,lol that's what I call mine I use it to document my travels with friends and family..its really easy to set up. The application is very straightforward.The customer service is quick and is on top of their response time. Over the years from the my first Hero using it for my phantom 2 drone camera getting great cenematic shots I was sold from day one .It's a part of our family I wouldn't consider buying anything else out there the action came game can't compete with the GoPro in any way.. I just want to say thank you for putting in every detail you could to make sure you provided us outdoorsmen and women a life camera to hold our favorite memories are made with.

Absolute trash company, get DJI fck GoPro

Ordered new gopro from these jokers, canceled the in less than 18 hours. (SENT THREE DIFFERENT EMAILS IN THREE DIFFERENT DAYS) After six days from canceling the order they sent me an email saying that the order was just sent today and can not be canceled. I kid you not if this wasnt gopro id say its a SCAM. That bad it is. I have ordered the new DJI Osmo 6 the day I canceled that GoPro trash and it arrived two days ago. ABSOLUTE JOKE THIS COMAPNY, doing everything they can to waste!!!! In todays world when everyone is keen to the planet, these jokers are ruining it. Never will i ever buy their product again. Btw Good luck with repurposing your bad shit old sensor for the third year in a row.

Absolutely TERRIBLE customer "service". You cannot even call it that!!!

They use ChatGPT and template answers. They literally gaslight and take the piss.

I was in the process for a supposed simple replacement, this started 3 weeks ago. After endless emails, failed transactions, calls for my bank card number over the phone and endless bullshit.... They tell me it's OUT OF STOCK!!!!!

DO NOT, i repeat do not buy GoPro. Find any other camera company they are not worth your time whenever something fails!!!

Absolutely disgusting. Now I've dealt with some terrible customer service but this takes the cake 😅🤣

I bought two GoPro12 cameras and a Pro…

I bought two GoPro12 cameras and a Pro 3.5mm Mic Adapter to record external voice communication.

Unfortunately, the recorded voice can only be played on one channel (i.e. one speaker). If the external voice is recorded without the external mic, then the recorded video plays perfectly on both speakers.

Reported the issue to GoPro customer service, and they sent a free Pro 3.5mm Mic Adapter. Unfortunately, with device as well, when used an external mic, the recorded video only plays in one speaker. Changed several mics as well, but the result is the same.

When buying a GoPro to record voice using an external mic, worth noticing this.

For the price you pay, not worth at all.

No idea how to retain support of existing customers

I've had many GoPro cameras over the years. They used to be easy to use and give wonderful results.
But now - no PC app. Using a 'phone is immensely slow and painful. And the sites just want to sell you stuff. Looking to flog my three GoPros and go for something less painful.

Atrocious service! Avoid at all costs!

Arguably the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I purchased a GoPro camera as a gift, the website stated a free 1year premium subscription was provided with the purchase and can be transferred to the receiver. Upon receiving the device, I attempted to transfer the subscription through the app as instructed, but was prompted an error message. So I contacted GoPro directly, little did I know they do not have an actual phone number to call, only a customer service email and the person responding is extremely unhelpful and only replies once per day.. The name of the person replying is Cristian B and I suspect it’s actually just AI responses, based on the wording and format. I have been in contact with them for over a week now and this “Cristian B.” person has only replied to my concerns with 1 email per day and none of it is helpful at all. And I am now being told that the subscription is ineligible to transfer, yet their website does not clarify this. Do yourself a favor and avoid this awful company at all costs. I will never purchase anything from this garbage excuse of an operation and I will be sure to deter everyone that I know from ever purchasing GoPro.

Very good quality but not many options

Very good quality but not many options, the app is complete trash always bugging , you can't save in a "normal person" file extension (it saves as HEVC). Actually you can through the app, but the app is so bad that you have to save the videos 1 by 1 in personalized download option , because if you select multiple video files it doesn't let you do the personalized option. Trash don't buy it, there are better options.

I purchased a gopro13 from the official…

I purchased a gopro13 from the official gopro website on the 8th December 2026, its now the 15th December and still no package, UPS are the carrier's, I've tracked the parcel and its been in UPS depot I Tamworth since the 11th December, it was out for delivery on the 12th December, I got an email from UPS in the afternoon saying its been diverted back to Tamworth (no reason given) a bit like the amount of F's UPS have for their customers, their customer service department is next to useless with a huge language barrier, I then got an email saying Monday 15th then one saying Tuesday 16th and then one saying your parcel is being temporary delayed, is this a punishment for daring to question where my parcel is ? Just for the record I live 15 miles away from their depot, I've also contacted Gopro on the 12th and still awaiting a reply, sent second message to gopro asking for information on how to return and get a refund, still no reply, an absolute shocking buying experience in my opinion, Tip of the day avoid UPS at all costs.
