Never order from Maple and Kids
I placed an order from Maple and Kids a couple of weeks ago. Received the order of 2 DIY animal sewing kits last Friday. The kits were shipped in a plastic bag so when I opened the bag, the boxes were very damaged. Once was completly crushed and the other box was ripped open. I tried to send the items back, but Maple and Kids only offered a very small refund. I paid $40 for the two items and they refunded me $11. This is very poor customer service and I will NEVER order from Maple and Kids again

Ordered a dress from “Audrey & Amy Ottawa” expecting a high-quality, flattering design as advertised the dress cost 71,95+ taxe. What I received was a cheap, thin, poorly made dress that looks nothing like the photos.
The seller admitted the item was different but only offered partial refunds (10–30%) and had to pay for return shipping to China, despite presenting themselves as a Canadian (Ottawa-based) business.
There was no proper follow-up or customer support, and the overall experience felt unprofessional and misleading. I requested a full refund and refused partial offers. Be cautious before ordering from this site.

From the initial visit by the sales team member to the installation of our garage door, by two young gentlemen, we were more than pleased by the service. We love our garage door... it looks great, and works well.
Here we are through the winter with no issues with our door, and I loved the fact that I no longer have to get out of my car to push it up!!

I buy Hot air system, from Walker for $21,000. Things went wrong since first day. A Young girl, install the heat pump, connecting 2 wires on the same terminal. A specialist electrician tells me 3 days later that this bad work could have wires to heat up and cause a fire. Second. The heat pump was not installed properly. The right side is higher than the left side. As for the furnace, the “filter” was a single frame in metal, not a filter.
“ You had to buy it at Canadian Tire” The first year I called Walker for problems 10 or 15 times…For the first year, heat pump and air conditioned never functioned normally. Neither cold nor heat. The man had installed a defective thermostat that had to be changed a few weeks later. Then came summer. It was very hot. The temperature in the rooms on the first floor, 20 degrees, with air conditioning working at his maximum. I called Walker every week. They sent me technicians that never were able to fix the problem. In the winter, I had to buy two space heaters. the cold or hot air never reached the degree I displayed on the thermostat, so the outdoor system worked 24 hours a day. Naturally, the engine heats up and shut down. Normaly, the auxiliary heating of the furnace was supposed to take over. But I just learned from the last specialist that this auxiliary did not work. EVER !
Winter is coming. Maximum heat obtained... 19.5. In my bed room, 17 degrees. I call Walker, again and again. That lasted for a LONG year.
Then, they offer me their filter adapted to the product… 895$ for one year and 175 at the end of the year to replace it. Then, suddenly, they remember that they have a 10$ filter…
In the last days of summer 2024, another specialist, came in for the "maintenance", for 120 $ to prepare it for winter; then the story became worse.
the heat pump outside became a block of ice, 10-centimetres, blocking the entire mechanism, enveloping the device like a turtle's shell. It was zero degree outside. So I called Walker. I was told... "Stop using it, plug on to the motor of the auxiliary of the furnace. But the auxiliary system did not work. Me with my rheumatism, my 80 years old ! A came to defrost the block of my heat pump. I should never have had to pay since this adjustment should have been made during the annual maintenance .
That employee explains to me that there was a small adjustment to be made, so that the mechanics adapt to the cold not producing ice.
“That should have been made by the maintenance guy!” He tells me.
Two months after the last repair man came, the whole furnace was again a block of ice, this time from the bottom to the ground. Today, a woman from the office sends me an email, asking me to make my appointment for the spring maintenance. I can't. To manies bad mémories.
I cannot recommend Walker as I believe that their technicians do not have the knowledge or experience necessary to sell and properly service these units. If they’re expecting a customer to pay $21,000 for one of these units, they should provide a corresponding level of training to their employees so that the customer does not have to endure what I have gone though simply to have my home properly heated and cooled. Something that I never had.

McDonalds drive thru at Wayne Gretzky. I was asked to pull up to one of the reserved spots and I said no thank you I was waiting for 2 milkshakes. They said the machine wasn't ready but I politely said no thanks. Well doesn't the Manager get all aggressive and told me to move up and I still refused this is over 2 milkshakes no food. They tried to give me a milkshake that wasn't even blended and I called her out on it and she tried to say that is how they are made. Seriously when did managers start getting into it with a paying customer. McDonald DEI hire is rock bottom. Please train your staff better in customer service. And for the record at no point was I rude just stood my ground.

Seriously try this. Change your Google subscription middle name to firstname - Google, last-name or if available, use Google as your middle name. Ditto for Meta, Microsoft, Apple - basically any subscription. I did and 98% of my received spam mails are addressed to middle name Google. Strava reached out to me with a plan for my special needs son and the only place I’d mentioned this was confidential emails from my Gmail account to my son’s doctor. I’ve since moved everything from on Microsoft. Do NOT trust Google. Your emails, locations, likes, subscriptions, searches, they know more about you than your mothers and will sell you for pennies. “Don’t do evil”?? Hah!

KFC in Coombs BC. Chicken was saturated in fat and oil. In the bucket wax almost 3/4 of inch grease and oil. Chicken was just soggy with it. I will contact health Canada and place formal complaint because this food was unfit for consumption and dangerous to eat.
Outstanding Service from Gurjeet Gill at Dragonfly Courier
I’ve had bad experiences with Dragonfly Courier in the past, but today was completely different.
Gurjeet Gill, the driver who delivered my package, was incredibly kind and helpful. I asked if he could deliver it to my workplace since I wasn’t home, and the neighbor I had asked to receive it wasn’t answering my calls.
He was very patient and even waited for my neighbor to show up, but when my neighbor didn’t come, he remained accommodating and understanding when I called him.
Thank you so much, Gurjeet Gill. Your service went beyond my expectations. I honestly thought I wouldn’t receive my package and was already feeling upset at work.

Had a pipe burst and called Bubby's Plumbing. Day of the appointment they called to let me know they were on their way. Showed up on appointed time and were so courteous and kind right from the start. Did repair in no time at all and explained every step of the repair. Intact Insurance uses BrokerLink and they took advantage of a situation that arose because of a move. I relocated to another apartment before my policy was up. They added it with my auto policy and I didn’t notice it nor did they inform me of the change from $181. to $252. The move was to a smaller apartment in the same town with one bedroom less than I had before. Nothing else was different. There shouldn’t have been a rate hike 9 mo. into either tenancy for any reason. No extra persons were added.
They never informed me of the rate increase nor gave reasons. I only found out when I moved again out of province and asked for a refund of the remaining amount since I paid in full. After 3 1/2 months they charged me a cancellation fee of $50. on top of the $70. policy increase that never should have happened. They called it a fluctuation charge.
I was also charged $29.95 for the auto insurance cancellation after 4 mo. and 19 days. It all came out of my refund. Alberta gov. allows this!! $80. lost for the short time the policies were in effect.

There is no sizing chart on the site and when the product arrives, it is too small, as Canadian sizing is considerably different to Chinese sizing. Tim Horton's, bunch of crooks!
So apparently Tim Horton's thinks they can just rob people off their app. I ordered off the app on the 21st of Dec. Never received my order, and i reported it right away. Called the driver who said it was delivered but of course it wasnt. Went all around my building looking for my order and again nothing. Driver says he took a picture but failed to provide it to me. Then i have been fighting with TH since the 21st to get my money back. Today i get back an email stating they believe the order was delivered and that is that, thus robbing me of my money when i received nothing. DISGUSTING! Oh and to top it off TH never provided me with a picture either!
